I feed the MONKEYS
Starts off as a fun and bizarre little premise but quickly turns into an absolute mess trying to manage all of the caged monkeys and all the different storylines at once.
I did not purchase this game with the understanding that it was pretty much a full-on management game, I thought it would be a quirky and maybe a little thought-provoking sim, but it really is just a stressful management game. The coat of paint and premise of it is not able to magically make me enjoy the actual game.
If the entire resource management system was removed I'd might enjoy it.

Very fun game. I do wish they would make the game be rated T becuase the nudity is not bad. The main parts are censored thankfully. Would recommend though!
I really had fun with this game trying to figure out how to close out each of the cages. The only thing I wish was different would be how often you get the same cages. It took me several tries to get every cage. Also fewer cages that you can't interact with. I prefer the cages you can interact with. The others are boring and I wish there was an option to select not to get those.
so simple yet so convoluted.
fun
I wouldn't say this is a bad game, in fact I had fun with it for a bit, but the game loses its charm after playing a few hours. It's less about solving mysteries or combining the right terms in the search bar and more about just staring at the camera feeds for hours to find the exact word that you need that only appears once per day. Honestly, if you're interested in it, I'd recommend buying the game, playing for a couple hours, and then refunding it.
Very fun.
A game about using cameras to spy on various people and solving mysteries involving them, all while managing your day-to-day life.

Do Not Feed the Monkeys is built around the rather unique premise of installing an application that allows you to view live feeds from different cameras around the world. This application is set up by a secret society, tasking you with figuring out certain information about the people you’re spying on. These objectives are given in intervals and come with a time-limit, tasking you with finding the correct information in the given time span in order to receive reward money.
You gather information this by taking note of objects and/or conversational topics from the relevant cameras and using a search engine to combine these elements and make deductions. You may also unlock the ability to contact different people in order to gain new insights. Going against the secret society’s wishes, you may also use these abilities and the gathered insights to influence the people you’re watching over in order to help them or to gain some additional cash.
To make things more challenging, you additionally have to take care of yourself – staying healthy by regularly sleeping and eating. Buying food, paying bills and acquiring new cameras, as is regularly requested by the secret society, also require a steady stream of cash, meaning you’ll often have to supplement the limited income from your spying activities through odd jobs.
Each activity also takes a set amount of time, clashing with the fact that the cameras you’re watching are running on fixed schedules – meaning you’ll only be able to acquire certain information at certain times, when things are actually happening. With this in mind, the game tasks you with managing your schedule you don’t miss crucial information while keeping expenses in check and meeting your needs. This turns out to be quite a challenge at times, especially on your first playthrough, when you’re not yet acquainted with the different cameras’ mechanics.
All of this is presented in a decent looking pixel-art-based interface supported by a rather interesting soundscape, both of which I found to be very charming. The world the game presents you with is quite interesting, striking a good balance between being realistic and straight up whacky. All of it is presented with heaps of humour, which the game pulls of rather well, often managing to feel surreal yet somehow believable. Do Not Feed the Monkeys also offers quite a bit of replay value, as there are more camera feeds available than can be unlocked at once, with many cameras also offering multiple ways to resolve them.

All in all, I had a great time with Do Not Feed the Monkeys and can only recommend it.
It's really interesting since all the scenarios (or "cages" in the game) are all really varied. Each have unique environments with strange people that allow for all sorts of things, from goofy humor to even some spooky moments. I'm also a big fan of the game's mechanic of taking people's words, searching it up, and using that to piece together what's happening or to get even more info. It can be pretty short if you know what you're doing and what to look for, but it's enjoyable while it lasts. Each new game is random, so it always feels fresh when replaying this game, especially for the achievements.
Fya
A fun, short observational clue hunting and puzzle game.
Funny and deep. 23 hours of my life well spent!
It was, indeed, quite addictive.
first played this game in middle school i'll play again in another 5 years ^^ love the artstyle and the dry absurdist humor sm
The delivery guy is Hiro Protagonist, and I'm totally into that.
Human to Monkey. Good
Puts a new spin on the term "people-watching". Fun for the whole autistic family. Great replay value.
Mmmmmmm.... Monkey....
This game is exhausting to play :-[
At first, it's fun and enjoyable, but grinding out all the achievements is seriously tiring and sleep-inducing.
I liked the game.
Honestly quite a fun game filled with compelling and funny stories. The variety is sufficient and you could even squeeze about 5 more hours of replayability. Honestly a really hidden gem. Was going to 100% it but a stupid cage refuses to pop up after 5 hours so too bad.
It's a fun brainrot game imo I love to just mindlessly sit and watch the screens
The game is great for one or two playthroughs, but honestly is an absolute snooze-fest with anymore. I'm an achievement hunter and getting 100% on the game was incredibly boring. Not to mean it's a bad game, there's just not a lot of replay value.
Incredibly fun game. So many different stories and combinations are avaliable. Many different ways to play and still get a good amount of the story
this game is so good I played it 3 times and i enjoyed every time.
but before you play it remember: DO NOT FEED THE MONKEYS
have fun
Do you like it when you "accidentally" enter the CCTV room and be mesmerized by the hundred screens staring at different area of the mall? If you say yes, this is close enough. The soundtrack is really neat too and sometimes i play this just to have it run on the background
i found to be fun and cool and i enjoyed very much thank you
One of the few indie games I think about from time to time, even having not played it in probably 2 years at the point of this review.
I really just enjoy the many different ways this game progresses and I enjoy being Big Brother
I watche da munkis :3
good game
Really fun can get repeative after a while but the many endings and new cameras/challenges are great!
i love stalking... and blackmail >:9
I had no idea how to play this game or what to do for the first 3 hours so I abandoned it. Started playing it again using a guide and it makes way more sense. If there was a middle thumb I would pick that one because a game that I only found fun by using a guide isn't a game I'd want to recommend but it's still fun
Famous painter
meh
Played this game on a whim that it would a just an OK game. I was not disappointed. I always come back time to time to try to discover new cages, new dialogues, and play out the tasks differently to experience different scenarios. For steam deck it doesn’t play well. Stick to mouse/keyboard. (I do like this better than the sequel sadly)
打完游戏看了看教室后面的摄像头,然后摄像头扭动了(
Loved this game. A bit like Papers Please but less intense and more goofy? 10/10 recommend
a funny dark mystery story game. can't get enough
SO fun!
6/10
Very interesting concept, and a decent game.
Each playthrough you buy "cages" as the days pass by, and these are random. Many of them are non-interactive, but the rest have their own characters and storyline going on, which you can interfere with. Most of these have multiple endings which depend on your investigations and choices.
I think the game is held back by the randomness of these cages, and their schedule. Management in games can be quite fun, but here it's extremely likely that you will fail or miss many storylines simply because you don't already know the answers. It's a short game, so it makes sense that they want you to play again and again. But the fact that there are so many cages you can buy that you don't have the space for all of them in one playthrough, already makes it quite replayable. They did not need to artificially increase the replayablility by making the game frustrating to play.
The investigations are not intuitive enough, the schedules are unpredictable, and the time limits for most of these cages are too restrictive. Despite that there will be times when nothing is happening and you're bored, but you may not be able to leave to get food or sleep, because you might miss an important call or text, which aren't even stored so you could reply back later.
Unless you use a guide, your first few playthroughs will just be unsatisfying and not fun. It forces you to miss content unless you know the answers already.
Also, the ending of the game was just abrupt and lacks any conclusion or revelation that its leading on to.
That being said, it's still a fun enough indie game, it just could have been much better, in my opinion.
I'd recommend this to anyone who is really interested in the premise, but would suggest that you keep your expectations limited.
hervorragend.
great game, but the replay value diminishes quickly
Nothing but monkey business so far
Just your average Joe trying to come by every day, juggling the chaos of daily survival. Which is observing the enclosures for the club, completing assignments from the higher-ups, working part-time to scrape by, paying the damn rent, and keeping up with the basic human necessities like sleep and food. It might be a stretch having to work quickly, but it will work out in the end if you play your cards right. Manage your time right, connect those dots, learn something interesting from the sapiens, act, and exert your influence if necessary. It is one heck of a ride playing this game; it is worth the time if you like to observe.
fed da monke
I've spent over an entire day watching other people that aren't even real.
this happened to my friend marc once
yeah its pretty cool i suppose
