so you decided to become a dad..?
Then this is the game for you ;) The character is very customisable on so many levels (name, figure, skin tone, hair, eye, eyebrow colour, etc. - and it took me perhaps an embarrassingly long time to realise that there is the option for the PC to be trans), some backstory options etc. and they're a dad, no two ways around that.
A lot of the dialogue and a non-zero amount of the choices relate to Amanda, the daughter of the player character. As one progresses through the game there will also be several interactions with the children of the dateable dads, and more communal gatherings (aka with at least a sub-set of the dateable dads, possibly including their children, the gatherings somewhat dependent on which dad(s) you are (currently) romancing). So yes it is a dating sim, but also very much about family and community [though it could involve a bit of creepy horror if you want to go down that very specific, guided route] .
the good
Personally, all the interactions with Amanda, and the fact that the children are not just an afterthought for any of their parents (apart from maybe Joseph, where it very much fits the character) are something that I found really added to the immersive experience for me. There's a reason it's a 'dad dating simulator' and that is because family is front and centre.
The player still has a lot of flexibility and options to choose within the narrative about what kind of dad they would like to be and how to engage with that as well, so if being the number #1 dad isn't quite your cuppa, then you could still play that out if you fancied.
The dateable characters all have distinct and fleshed out personalities, histories and looks; as well as relationships with their children (where again, there definitely is some variety in the parent-child relationships, which I think adds flavour). Probably something for everyone in terms of types they might like to go for.
the bad and/or ugly
What is certainly somewhat lamentable, especially in the context of wanting to establish relationships with the other characters, is that each individual path ends quite quickly. You get 3 dates per character (or rather two, which can cover literally every dad happen at the same time/within the same save, and once you decide to go on the third date with someone that will lock in their ending) and especially for the characters I liked, I would've liked to spend far more time with them and exploring their (back)stories.
Sometimes the interactions and the text of the dateable characters also seemed to heavily rely on stereotypes for specific character archetypes, which I wasn't always a fan of.
The minigames are certainly a choice. Some of them are quite fun (especially also figuring out how to beat them), but some of them seem pretty pointless and more of an afterthought to me - almost, as if the devs had decided that because minigames make sense for some of the routes, they have to be present in all...

tl;dr
solid game, more about being a dad and community than dating. Genuinely enjoyed 3/7 dad routes and liked the art style, although the humour and the mini-games can be a bit hit and miss. A solid 7/10; perhaps wait for a sale if you're uncertain.god i love awkward middle aged man romance
This is one of my oldest purchases on Steam, and it remains near and dear to my heart. The writing is so funny, the characters so lovable, and the gameplay surprisingly varied for a dating sim. Been recommending this game for years, and I will continue to do so forever.
It's Dream Daddy everyone knows what to expect, it's a good game!
Dadtastic 9/10
Dream Daddy is a delightfully dreamy game where you, a single father, join a neighborhood of otherwise inclined dads and have dates. My playthrough/run of the game took maybe 3 hours total and included: 7 dates, one Amanda, and a wrestling match. If you are looking for a cute, fun, and relatively quick story with lots of different paths, characters and probably endings, this is your game.
Postives
+not locking into a singular interest from the start, you can date multiple dads to find which one you like
+variety of characters with different interests, personalities and dis/likes
+the music is pretty stellar
+a compact experience, where a run only takes maybe 4 hours
Negatives
-the noise from the chat bubbles is annoying to me, but that might just be a me issue
-lack of settings customizability
-lack of exploration, once the dating part starts, that is all you get to do
TLDR 9/10
Get this gayme if you're ready for hot, mysterious, goofy or otherwise fun dads.
easiest achievements ever guys. def try yo ho ho ho
I love this game so much!! All the Dad puns, the most awesome of daughters, and the steaminess you can have with all the dads if you play your cards right! Such an amazing game! I have loved every second playing this game!! Not for children at all! Adult content for sure but damn is it great!! I need more games like this! Maybe a Dream Mommy??? lol
I love this game with my whole chest. As a dilf lover, 10/10.
mmhh daddy
I love this. The puns are amazing! I would have liked a little more explanation on the minigames however they were easy to figure out and did a fantastic job of bringing in some quirky elements into the game play.
Its bland TBH. Choices don't feel like they have much intrinstic meaning. The romances almost feel forced.
Get it if its on a SUPER cheap sale as a cheap novel. But honestly - its just a book with very minimal autonomy (if you want to say it has multiple endings sure... but you could easily say its just 7 different books that all read the same when you start).
I do not see myself playing this again, beyond ticking off 100% completion and walking away (I would happily replay some of the worst Phoneix Wright Cases before re-doing this. Yes including the circus one with THAT clown!)
LOTS AND LOTS OF DADDIES 10 OUT OF 10
vampire daddy
Well try this one, and i'll say it just once. Tell you what Joseph, we could've had a good life together! Fucking real good life. Had us a place of our own. But you didn't want it, Joseph! So what we got now is maragaritaville! Everything's built on that! That's all we got, boy, fucking all. So I hope you know that, even if you don't never know the rest! You measure the short fucking leash you keep me on. You have no idea how bad it gets! I'm not you... I can't make it on a couple of high-altitude fucks in your yacht once or twice a year! You are too much for me Joseph, you sonofawhoreson bitch! I wish I knew how to quit you.
nice hot buff men
I thought it would be about dads and their kids, but the behavior is literally that of a young woman living with her friend/sister, meeting hot, *young* neighbors. terrible writing. Also the character customization is atrocious, literally no chance of creating a decent looking character, unless your character is trans. And again, the writing.... so bad. so immature. the whole dad thing is only skin deep - they have the conversational skill of 17 year olds. it sucks
I don't remember playing this game,, but damn
great for people who have complicated relationships with their father
Ranking the Dads from Favourite to Least Favourite:
1. Mat (very touching story)
2. Damien (legitimately felt like we were dating)
3. Joseph (he made me sad)
4. Hugo (he was surprisingly fun)
5. Craig (felt like we were just casual friends)
6. Brian (the rivalry held too much animosity)
7. Robert (he needs therapy)
I was worried I wouldn't like the game at first because the intro took over an hour and I was mostly bored, but once I started actually dating the dads, I had a lot of fun.
10/10 this game reaffirmed my crippling daddy issues😍😍
HOT, SINGLE, SHIRTLESS, ELIGIBLE DILFS EVERYWHERE. BEST GAME. I <3 DILFS.
i thought joseph was going to perform acts of bdsm on me when he tied me up with chains in his basement. but to my disappointment, he was actually running a cult. :( the secret lore is cool tho!
i tried to 100% it but after 2 hours of failing trying to get the golf achievement i gave up. i think it cut off 20 years of my lifespan because it made me rage so bad.
mat and robert are the dilfiest dilfs imo but the dates with the vampire were definitely my fav, it made me blush and kick my feet THEY WERE SO WHOLESOMEEEE
also i love amanda to death. not to be dramatic but i would die for that kid.
har har har har har har har

Super cute, fun game. But I have to say, it's strengths really lie in being a visual novel, rather than a dating sim. Damien's route is really the only one I would call dating. I just wish they leaned into the story a bit more, gave you more options and events. Just felt like they should've fleshed the characters out a bit more...you get all the hints about the various 'happenings' of the dad's, but you don't really get to explore them super deeply. I especially had some qualms with the way they handled Robert's character, both is his Good and Bad endings. He's an egg with a tough shell, I just wanted to do was crack him open and have him end up happy! I do understand that it's maybe a bit more of a light-hearted experience, so points for comedy I guess, but it felt a little...idk surface level. Either way, the relationship with your daughter Amanda, is by far the best aspect, imo. Every part of her storyline is so heartwarming. Luv that kid to death.
There are much more engaging visual novels out there in my experience, however...
Robert.
