after tutorial hope there is another sign shows where to enter the game
Awesome game for learning the fundamentals, everything is explained on layman's language so that a child can understand and also they have educational external links for each tasks for the detailed explanations of the algorithms and fundamentals
Just started playing as a way to begin dipping my toes into the concepts of machine learning. The game makes it quite intuitive, with links to external sources for additional reading. Enjoying it very much so far
while True: learn() is like my day job as a data science major, but with more cats and fewer snacks. I spend hours debugging virtual pipelines, only for a pixelated feline to judge me harder than my college professor. 10/10, would let my cat boss me around again
Sadly just looking slightly cute isn't enough to be a good game.
Not even sure where to start, what the big problems are. It's just a fucking weird game in quite a few different aspects.
There are much better programming games out there, I would suggest you try them instead of this one. This one is mostly frustrating and unintuitive.
I really wish I would have liked it. But it's so annoying and clunky.
a broad simplification of machine learning that allows you to focus on the big picture and overcome logical puzzles
The game introduces you to the very basic concepts of machine learning in a fun and engaging way. The puzzles are relaxing but also keeps you engaged as you try to progress throughout the game. I have yet to finish the game but it's a pretty positive experience if you like to solve things.
I find it more fun than informative, so if your goal is to learn, I would definitely look for other resources.
Extremely difficult if you're a perfectionist and new to this type of game. No obvious method of attaining the knowledge needed for a task, and figuring out what the different nodes even do is a bit of a nightmare.
Thanks for this game,I got Google's offer.
Must build Meow to Speech machine.
I used to work in tech but I've been out of the ballgame for a couple years. I bought this game with the intention of using it to brush up on machine learning concepts as painlessly as possible. For me, the game accomplishes this goal. I think it strikes a great balance between being fun and teaching the concepts. I'm also very satisfied at the rate at which concepts are introduced. The puzzles are neither redundant nor increase in difficulty too quickly. I'm also really loving all the references that are thrown in - for example, a company in the game named "Pro-Toss". I used to play StarCraft a ton, and coming across this was the tipping point where I was like, ok, it's worth my time to write a good review for this game.
I saw a negative review saying this game "is very bad at explaining what it wants you to do, which makes the puzzles confusing instead of challenging". This hits on my one sort-of-complaint. I do agree that sometimes the instructions are unclear, but I do NOT agree that this is a bad thing, even though I also personally prefer very clear instructions - because interpreting nebulous instructions from a project manager is also a critical skill :)
Nice game.
quick and simple and self-explanatory so far (so far)
its like a programming logic puzzle game kind of relaxing kind of fun you should try it.
pretty fun
8/10
Fun and educational. I have a degree in Analytics and this would've been very useful for a fun introduction to the concepts. Puzzles are still definitely doable without advanced knowledge/education, but definitely helps reinforce some of the more basic concepts like that answers don't have to be 100% right to be valuable sometimes. Also, the entire cat theme is adorable.
Nice Game! Playing feels much better than debugging in the real life.
I am a software engineer, and I worked on machine learning frame works.
This game is very bad at explaining what it wants you to do, which makes the puzzle confusing instead of challenging.
I feel that this is a highly technical game. Through continuous thought and analysis, I deeply understand the characteristics of each component and classify objectives based on whether efficiency or accuracy is prioritized, thereby combining the components accordingly. The most interesting part is the application of parallel computing. I'm still in the early stages of the game and looking forward to the exciting content ahead.
this game very good, I can study more things and I could study in time of my game's.
very playful for learning
good
interesting way of thinking and does help a lot with actual classes I'm taking at the moment
Even though this game could have much more complictated logic to it, it still has very good gameplay, design, as well as it explains coding really well
This is a pretty fun game. But I seem to like puzzles. It's just like any road map puzzle game where you are given more and more tools and then gives you some restrictions. I enjoy the history lessons it gives too and how concepts matter to the real world.
Tries to deliver a promising puzzle game about Machine Learning, but its execution is kinda meh and sometimes full of intentional advertising.
This negative review for mostly personal choices, not for criticizing the game itself.
I bought this alongside Human Resource Machine as i was looking for games that rely on the instinct of being able to use your IT-based wits (or even not, it's not just aimed at computer experts or somewhat), and i was caught up a little on this one. When i first tried it when Epic Games gave it away, the premise didn't seem bad, but i expected way much than just dragging and dropping puzzle blocks where you have to sort blocks and shapes in a flowchart sequence. To be honest, i'm not a huge fan of visual scripting but i used to grow up with it back when i tried out with GameMaker's Drag and Drop (nowadays renamed as GML Visual or whatever is called), but now i actually do programming with just writing code around because it feels more immediate and much faster to think with it.
I expected a sort of Human Resource Machine where levels helped you understand each new concept and puts you to test, but in this game it goes on a different concept: The game is about a programmer who finds out his cat being a completely able programmer, and sets out on a journey to find out how to program an application that allows him to recognize cat speech, but only the help from internet will allow him to take as many steps he needs. This reflects the overall beginner experience of a programmer. But what i did not expect was that this game relies on Machine learning which is a concept in programming i'm not really interested into, which kind of misleads the title of this game.
I don't like the puzzles here in this game because there are certain flowchart blocks that are kind of bleak to understand and have completely odd names, such as "Random forest"... to admit i gave up on this game because of that flowchart block which randomizes shapes, albeit with a small chance of bringing out a wrong shape, and the puzzles that contain this fragment kind of pisses me off. Surely must be my impression, but this is the part of the game that made me question what this game actually teaches. And i'm not a fan of how this game advertises Machine learning, no idea why the developer decided to include external links to learning material, although for some it could help out point some useful resources for this subject which this game takes on.
So yeah, i prefer games that rely a LOT into the player's mind such as Human Resource Machine, Zachtronics' library of games such as TIS-100, Shenzhen I/O, etc.
10 PRINT "Game is fun"
20 GOTO 10
Perfect game.
why cant the cat code it himself tho?
"Great game! I highly recommend it to my colleagues and friends."
FIVE CATS REVIEW.
Played with my 8 and 9 year olds, who said: "Good game but a little hard". We just finished the Ancient epoch and have a Cyborg cat. ='.'=
Loads of fun and an intuitive design, will keep playing!
Great game
Kinda lacking in the "fun" aspect. Good game nonetheless that I found myself enjoying.
Why can I not make my nickname "Fart" Need an update to FIX THIS
Only played for a few hours and am absolutely hooked. Did some CS in university but this is so much more fun and interactive after a long day.
Very fun and great atomosphere and art style
If you like puzzles and also enjoy cats and computers your probably going to like this game.
Is like true life, you don't know why it works and you better not changing it.
Perfect to start on Algorithms Logic
Excellent game. If you're fond of puzzles and optimizations, this is the game for you. Would 100% recommend playing it during your spare time.
This game is interesting.
+
Disable tutorial doesn't even disable tutorial. It's for 2 year olds anyway.
As a programmer, this is a great way to pass time when I have nothing to do. The art and cliches are a treat!
I just really love the puzzles please keep it up you're really great.
chat I love coding
Worth it
Currently studying AI and machine learning. This helps gives some perspective, and cats helps my sanity
