Описание
The creative minds of Lucasfilm’s ILMxLAB present a virtual reality experiment set in a galaxy far, far away…Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine. For the first time ever, wield a lightsaber as you leap into action in the most immersive Star Wars virtual reality experience ever. Be transported to the desert world of Tatooine, repair the iconic Millennium Falcon, and defend the plucky droid hero R2-D2 from incoming stormtroopers in this captivating experience set after the events of Return of the Jedi.
Usage Notes
Trials on Tatooine uses a single controller. We support both 5.1 surround and headphone audio, pick the setting with the icon on the intro screen for your configuration.
Trials on Tatooine approaches photo-realistic quality and requires a powerful computer. The quality setting on the left of the introduction screen should default to the correct setting for your system. If you drop frames try setting the quality knob one lower. In general, a minimum spec computer will run on the lowest setting while a fast computer with an Nvidia Titan X GPU will run on the highest setting. Trials on Tatooine also supports SLI and will automatically render on two GPU’s if available.
This software is offered for noncommercial, personal use only.

I guess it's cool to use a lightsaber... but don't expect much more than a few moments of saber swipes.
+ a solid test of what can be done in future VR experiences. I'm looking forward to things to come
+ the lightsaber felt great!
+ blocking the energy bolts felt VERY real, not too easy
- very little world interaction, the 'press the buttons to fix the ship' hook was very egh
- short, 'feel the saber and over' experience
- the room-scale requirement is larger than it needs to be, and a bit larger than most other games, forcing some recalibration on my end
A down vote might be a bit harsh.. i would rather have a neutral vote, an up vote is too strong as well.
Pretty cool concept. If you ignore the fact that at distance you can't really see the enemy then you will love the close up of an amazing starship!
This was fun. Absolutely great demo of what VR is capable of.
Not much to say. It's a short linear demo. You get to hold a light saber.
Super duper short. But... an excellent SW experience nonetheless. If they turn this into a game.... I'll simply hand them my wallet.
Cool thing, try it out. Defenitely a must for every Star Wars fan. But sadly it's a bit short.
Great little short demo of what VR can do for the Star Wars universe. Can't wait for future content.
Short and fun little VR demo. The voice acting is just okay, but handling a light saber and sending lasers flying back at stormtroopers is really fun.
Also, having the Millenium Falcon land almost on your head is fantastically fun!
It's just a demo, you shouldn't expect too much from it, but it's fun for what it is.
It's too short
Takes longer to download than to "experience". Its just too short to bother. And it mocks the player about minimal playspace size while it could be "experienced" in a standing only mode, really. It may be a good VRgin experience for a star wars fan, but nothing more. And the final insult to injury: credits last longer than "gameplay". As it is free, you may use this as fire and forget, but don't expect much.
as a demo, it's too short and doesn't give you the chance to really try and understand the possibilities of the title
Do I recommend this? Yes. It's free and its an experiment and also won't take much time.
Also really really short.
One thing I noticed is while the rendering looks pretty and different, some temporal filters seem to be off. This created very weird visual artifacts all over the place.
Ok, it's free, it let's you play with Lightsabers, and the graphics are pretty good, so you can't really complain can you?
Yes, you can. It's seriously maybe 1 minute of gameplay about about 5 mins of story.
Quite literally the download took longer than the game. It was so short, I couldn't even really recommend it as a tech demo.
You could have had 3 or 4 waves or stormtroopers, or let you replay just the lightsaber bit a few times.
Could even have charged a couple of pounds/dollars/euros with a bit more gameplay.
Unless there are plans to turn this is into a full game or a much longer game, this is a letdown.
It's a five-minute Star Wars theme park ride sorta thing.
No duh you're gonna play it. And love it.
The only negative is that it assigns the controllers based on hardware ordering, not which one has been identified as left/right. For shame.
On my permanent list of VR demos that I have guests try out.
i too was able to play this on the oculus with touch controllers without any problems. it's a nice demo...
would have been cool if you could've slashed up the credits as they scrolled by at the end!
It's a fun demo for VR, though quite short at only about 6-7 minutes for a playthrough. Still, worth the download.
MAKE THIS GAME!!!!
I am an enormous Star Wars fan, doesn't matter what it is, even the prequels.......well maybe not EP I so much. ILM Studios/Lucasarts, you need to make this into a full blockbuster game....there is sooooo much potential. With GPUs being able to support VR more and more there isn't a reason to not make this. I am talking light saber duals, dual light sabers, force powers, blaster for the more primitive, I mean come on help a brother out here.
What a fun experience... Short but sweet, good glimpse into the future of gaming in VR. Watch the Millenium Falcon land right over your head, help R2D2 fix it and use a lightsaber to deflect storm trooper fire. Like I said it is a short experience but definitely a fun one. I had enough fun just opening and closing the light saber...lol ..Will play a few more times... 10/10 .. And It Was FREE!!
I was able to play this on my Oculus Rift CV1 with Touch Controllers without any issues, and as stated in other reviews, this is a short demo. I also agree that this is probably a good demo for friends and family, and I don't see myself playing it too often, but worth the download to play around for a few minutes.
First Crashed after about 10 Minutes and then, sadly, becasue its actually very fun and immersive it wont start anymore
Cant recommend at ist current state sadly. Hopefully it works for you.
I mean, its not that bad, because ist free, bud sad.. :(
Its taking a long time to load the storyline.
I keep seeing the same imagine and of course the frames per second is working just fine.
I downloaded the game and looks like the game is a complete failure.
Loved this only issues are that stuff in the distance is kinda blurry and the blaster fire from the troopers is super slow.
