WHAT´S THIS ALL ABOUT?
Symphony Of Motion offers a new unique way to create and experience music without the need for any prior musical knowledge. Whether you're a seasoned musician or a complete beginner, this is a new and intuitive way to create and experience music. In its simplest form, you just move your hands around to create unique sounds, melodies, and rhythms. There are no “wrong” notes to worry about (as you always play in a specific scale) and you can always stay on perfect tempo with the build-in perfect timing assistant. For the more experienced musicians, it also offers new levels of expressional depth with its unique motion-based synthesizer modulation, multi-pitching drums/melodic pads, a lot of customization options, a built-in looper, and a drum kit creator.LIVE MOTION-BASED SYNTH MODULATION
Symphony Of Motion offers a new level of depth to musical expression, as the sounds follow the movements of your hands like an orchestra follows the movement of it's conductor. You can dual play and live modulate any of the 100+ synthesizers with acceleration, angular acceleration, position and rotation - plus there are multiple different motions to modulation options to choose from that all sound different.LIVE DRUM PITCH SHIFTING
You can play any drum sample at a varying pitch by tilting your wrist to different angles while playing. This gives you the ability to play unique and fresh-sounding beats with an added layer of depth in your expression.MELODIC PADS
Melodic pads are percussion pads that play musical notes rather than drum hits. For example, you could create a multi-octave xylophone, orchestral drum, or cowbell set in any note or scale you want. Melodic pads also have varying pitches, so one pad can play many different notes by changing the angle of your wrist or by transposing it by pressing down on the trigger button. This allows you to play a multi-octave melody - just by hitting a single melodic pad!DRUMKIT BUILDER
You can duplicate, reposition, scale, change pitch/volume/color/shape/settings, and the sample of any drum and melodic pad to make your own dream kits.LOOPER
You can record, cancel and undo previous recordings with the build-in one-button looper. There's also a view where you can adjust the volume, stop or delete any previously made recordings. You can also visualize any synthesizer recording so that you can see what was being played while the loop was being recorded.PITCH BENDING
While playing the synthesizer you can pitch bend from any note to any other note or play totally fretless.FEATURES
- Build in tutorials that guide you on your journey
- Drum and melodic percussion kit builder
- Large selection of motion reactive synthesizers and different modulation options to choose from
- Live pitch shifting drums
- Multi pitched melodic percussion pads
- Easy to use one button looper
- Recorded loops overview and volume control

Tested on: Quest 2, with a medium-low end gaming laptop (GTX 1650Ti, i5-10300h)
I'm only commenting within a short time because the dev deserves the good rep: in my opinion this is a very cool tool to explore when you're curious about making music and feeling the benefits of a VR interface to do so. It's absolutely worth it if you're frequently going to try and play with making sounds, but it's not there to gamify the experience beyond offering introductory tutorials. It's a musical tool, not a game, and with that in mind it does exactly what it says.
You can grab notes on the synth and twist the volume by turning your wrists, shake the notes you hold to modulate them, play very precisely with drums in 3d space, and have a different type of sound per hand.. and then you add the looping mechanisms and the fact that this is an early access title that already has the polish and great performance in PCVR (not encountered a single bug), and I'd say this is a title for those curious about making music and sounds and trying to think from new angles (a bit like OpenBrush is a lovely intuitive tool for visual creation I keep going back towards).
The tutorials are helpful too, although the more advanced tutorials are still a work in progress (as indicated by the EA status).
The visuals are great but I would be curious to see how customizable this might get (in colours, shapes, spatialization, tuning of synth and drum elements, blending of both perhaps, etc).
I hope the dev has more in store for us in terms of sounds and customization (of sounds and visuals, or even instruments), but as it is the game offers exactly what it advertises and it's pretty much a proper release already, and any person curious about making sounds and music with VR should try this out.

Is this better than Virtuoso? Nope, not even close. However, this is a nice app as far as music creation apps go in VR. I would say this is okay & a nice start to Early Access. It's budget-priced, so I can recommend it, but there's other's I would recommend over this one.
Basically, at this time, in Early Access, you're really limited to the synthesizer, the drum kit, & the looper. That's it as far as tools that you can use. It's got some nice things like the automatic in-rhythm option that is also an option in Virtuoso so that you sound better as a beginner. You can set the metronome sound as well or a have your controllers vibrate to keep you in rhythm or you can use lights. You can also have a backing drum kit playing to inspire you.
Within the drum kit & the synth, there's many different sounds you can choose from. You can also bend volume, twist your controllers to get more volume or a different sounding drum kit sound or even bend notes. You can record the different loops and then export them to your PC for your later listening pleasure (or displeasure as was in my case).
Game is running on the Unity engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 fps. I did not experience any serious issues or bugs. The only bug I noticed was that it would not save your volume setting for the synth.
Overall, this is a simple music creation looping software for VR that is easy to learn. You can definitely make some nice music or terrible music. However, you are limited by the limited nature of the app in Early Access. You can change volume or delete loops, but you can't create layers for their timing in the final product. So they automatically loop until the overall loop is done. There's no mic. There's no community functions / sharing.
Rate 6.5/10. I'm scoring this high because it's budget-priced and easy to use, but I would recommend several other VR music apps, such as Virtuoso, before this one.

Ok firstly a disclaimer, I dont have a musical bone in my body. I don't play any instruments, honestly a triangle would be a push too far. But I've been messing around in this for over an hour. The sounds I've created wont ever be appreciated by anyone, but I came out of this with a smile on my face. Its gonna take a bit of patience, if ever, but i'm really enjoying myself.
There's so much more to this than first playaround will open. I would like to see more tutorials, but I'm enjoying it and cant wait to see where it goes. I believe a demo is coming at some point, give it a go, just play with the sounds and perhaps yours wont sound like a cutlery in a tin pot being pushed down the stairs !!
