This is a group to support the people in the Steam Community with depression. Depression is a mental illness affecting billions of people around the world. I have suffered from depression personally since I was 8-years-old and didn't know how to cope. Depression can be caused from thousands of different things: Death, abuse, rape etc. Depression is not simply normal sadness, being moody or just a low mood, but a serious illness. It causes both physical and psychological symptoms. Depression is common. Up to one in four females and one in six males will experience depression in their lifetime. Depression is the leading cause of suicide.Depression is also often not recognised or treated. Depression also commonly occurs with specific anxiety syndromes.
