20 Pelo contrário, se o teu inimigo tiver fome, dá-lhe de comer; se tiver sede, dá-lhe de beber; porque, fazendo isto, amontoarás brasas vivas sobre a sua cabeça.

This tribute is made in honour of the Knights Templar whose religious order was created during the first crusade in the year 1118 and finally got dissolved in the year 1312.
The latest grand master of the Knights Templar was called Jacques de Molay.
On March 18th, 1314 Jacques de Molay including many of his fellows were executed in Paris, France due to blasphemy which was supposed to be.

The gates are opened for those who want to share their intellectual knowledge about the Knights Templar and/or talk about the medieval times in general.
Playing medieval games together (e.g. Chivalry, War of the Roses, Life is Feudal, Mount & Blade, etc.) is even an option to join this association.

Being a part of this honourful association means for you that you're a person who gives respect to every other person no matter which origin, religion or values he or she has got. Everyone is treated equally in this association. Furthermore you're asked to basically think before you speak.
Wearing the banner of the Templars even means that in public you represent the association in the best way you can do.

Nazis, trolls and ignorant persons won't find pleasure in here!
I, Sir Cornwell of York, deal with Nazis and kind of sympathizers in a very strict way within this association to dismiss and report every single fascist directly to Steam. So keep away from this holy place or you're going to bear the consequences.

This association is neither a religious movement, nor it's an incentive to start discussions about different religions in a "negative" way! If you're not conform to all these rules, don't join this group.
