If could enlighten you with one piece of experience from my teen years full of gaming, I would only like to tell you one thing.
As you grow old, you eventually stop caring about your ranks in multiplayer games and start enjoying chill games, that make you relax and let loose of the IRL worries. Games should make you happy, not toxic.
