So this is the new Transgender group, set up to be a place of safety for all Transgender people.
You are only welcome if you are either transgender or you are supportive of trans people.
Rules:
Don't judge a book by its cover. Always find out about the person under the skin before you take away an impression of them.
No Prejudice of any form at all. Invalidation, Generalisation, Discrimination and Seperatism is not allowed. This doesn't just include towards transgender people but to all people.
Correct Pronouns wherever possible. Forgiveness is encouraged since it's an easy mistake to make but please try not to presume a person's pronouns on anything other than what they state their pronouns to be. If you're uncertain, "they" works fine 99% of the time.
No Trolling. Trolls are ugly and should remain under bridges. That being said, don't feed Trolls either. We don't want to encourage their pooping everywhere.
Do not place yourself as an authority on a subject that doesn't include you unless allowed to by a majority of included members. An obvious example is to not state you understand what it's like to receive transphobia just because you've experienced homophobia.
Do not criticise people for being affected by problems. "You need thicker skin" is the most stupid phrase in the world since trans people do tend to have extremely thick skin. The problem lies in that no matter how thick your skin is, it's going to bruise and become sore with enough attacks. Try putting a cheesegrater to your own hand and see how long you can continue grating.
Some members may be a bit on the affectionate side and may offer hugs. You do not have to accept them but do not get abusive just because they offer one. A simple no thank you should be enough to make them desist. That being said, however, affection is acceptable but being sexual isn't unless invited to. Even if invited, keep it to private chat please.
The administration reserves the right to remove anyone who negatively and unjustly affects any other members of the group. This right will be acted upon at the discretion of the administrators.
Just to explain a certain thing for people who lack the intelligence to see it, people who use a slur of any kind, whether in chat or in their username are in breach of rules 2 and 4 and justifies the use of rule 8.
