My name is Josh, or better known in game as joshmac007, and I just finally hit gold for the first time!

Now don't worry, I'm not gonna try and preach to you all about 5 generic tips about how I got gold. I'd rather take the time to thank this wonderful community and tell you my story.
I started playing league January of last year with me reaching level 30 around May-ish. I hopped into ranked and got placed in Silver 5 immediately and quit ranked for that season. At that point, I was super anxious about ranked and personally wanted to rank up but didn't have the guts to do so. I found this sub a few months after I quit ranked and was overwhelmed by the positivity and excellent tips. I followed this sub religiously and put those tips into my gameplay. I started to seriously improve in normals and fell in love with Renekton as a OTP. But, I was still too scared to play ranked since I thought I belonged in Bronze. Then comes around season 6 and I decide I want to hit Gold by the end of 2016. I play my placement games, go 4-6. and get placed in Bronze 3. I went full try hard, scumbag mode and spam Renekton in ranked. To my surprise, I almost effortlessly climbed to Silver 2 with a 65%+ win rate. I took a couple month break from ranked and learned the role of ADC in the meantime. Fast forward to two weeks ago when I decided it was time to hop back into ranked. I played Miss Fortune almost exclusively and finally reached Gold V tonight.
This sub has given me the ability to improve as a player and reach my goal of gold, and for that I am forever grateful. All the high elo players willing to devote time to detailed guides/videos and the low elo players reaching out and giving a positive outlook on ranked really brings this outstanding community together. Once again, thank you all for helping me make this dream come true. :)
