Older lady (57) gamer here! It's now been two years since my last stroke! Yay!!!! I am still about the same. Numb right hand and foot, balance is off, my headaches came back (darn it), but my numbers are still good. So, I am tired, but still here! :D haha! And of course, still gaming! The writing and drawing/painting haven't really come back, but I still have hope. I just can't seem to get past the depression part of all this. But, as I said, I am still gaming! Yay!!!!!

(And in case you didn't notice, green is my favorite color.) (there's more, but I'll stop there!)

Update on the stroke(s).... It's been a year now, and I am a little better. My balance will never be right, my right hand and right foot will always be mostly numb, and I am fatigued often, but I'm still gaming. :)
I haven't been able to write or paint since the stroke. I keep hoping it'll come back, but so far, it hasn't.

I had a stroke in January 2023 (my second), so on the slow mend right now.
On meds for depression, and I am to avoid stress, so I might be a bit quiet.
The numbness on my right side can't keep me from gaming though... Haha! At least, not yet.

Some of us started gaming when the Atari 2600 was cutting edge, and when Mario was just some weird Monkey Botherer. We remember loading games via cassette and in DOS. We know the only way to get a game cartridge to work is to blow on it. And have a tendency to make the kids proper jealous, for having being fortunate enough to experience gamings Golden Age, first hand ! We may be older, but that's never been a reason to stop gaming !
