Hello, Everyone! Welcome to the Official Steam Group of the Guns of Icarus Online, Cake Clan! Possibly one of the largest in the game, and Co-Founded by a previous Employee of Muse Games! Because Cake’s inner workings are more a collective mind than a hierarchy, we are comprised into three main parts: The Management Team, The Non-competitive Players, and the Competitive Players. No Pastry (what we call members of Cake) is better or more Cake-y than another. Each role is elective and all you have to do is ask. Newbies, veterans, and people who just want to burn stuff are all welcome. (Check the recruitment section for details on how to apply.)

Who We Are
What Cake is all about:
Cake is the fire clan of the Guns of Icarus Community, and we find nothing more fun than burning ships alive! We highly recommend that each Cake captain carry a fire weapon on their ship (things like the Flare Gun, Flamethrower, Hades, Banshee, or even Mines) or at least carry incendiary rounds. Remember, this isn’t compulsory, and you can fly the Meta if you want to, but fire is a huge part of what makes Cake Cake, so keep that in mind. You could even say the fire lights the candles on this Cake! (Oh, that was not a good pun, Common Jim, that was awful).
Our clan is one founded on the principle of mutual friendship and trust, and the base requirements of Pastries are that they are friendly and understanding. This means we don’t troll, purposely start arguments, or create unnecessary tension where it isn’t needed. Our ideal outcome is to have people go “Oh boy! It’s Cake again, engineers bring Chem Spray!” By the end of the match (be it from laughter or the ridiculous amounts of fire that surrounds their ships in a glorious halo) we want the other team to be in ‘tiers’! (You know, because the larger cake types have tiers!? No? I’ll stop. Eventually.)
Recruitment/Applications
This group is primary designed for existing members of Cake, and as such applications are not processed here. That doesn’t mean you aren’t welcome! On the top right-hand side of the page there is a link labeled “Offcial Cake forum[gunsoficarus.com]”. Applcation steps are on the post.
If you are unsure whether you want to join Cake or not, we do an event called ‘The Iron Fork of Friday’ every Friday at 9pm UTC, which is helpful for getting to know our players. The event is posted in this group if you need your local time.
If you need any help with the application process or how to get to the forums, the Steam user ‘Scoll207’ (in-game Sandy Hawkins) usually sits in the Steam group chat from 00:00 - 06:00 UTC (10am-4pm AEST).
