Одним из важнейших элементов Kingdom Come: Deliverance является средневековый бой, который мы в Warhorse Studios разработали аналогично другим аспектам игры, то есть максимально точно, чтобы показать, как на самом деле сражались средневековые воины. Документальный фильм «Fechtbuch» - это собрание того, что мы узнали для достижения этой цели, и руководство к некоторым секретам исторических боевых искусств. If you know nothing about sword fighting or just want to watch a really well made documentary about medieval fighting, i highly recommend watching this!
I don't know why I bought it, probably for helping the developers, but in the end, I enjoyed A LOT watching this documentary and I would recommend it to anyone, even if you haven't played the game, its a must watch if you are interested in swordfighting or the middle ages. 10/10
If you like sword fighting system in this game then this contents is a must
It is not easy to delivery a history of sword fighting development from generation
to generation into the game.
It is some story told by fetching expert from Czech perspective. Recommending to all who likes sword fight.
Opened my eyes how rich, now long lost martial arts, exist in European history. Bravo for this documentary.
A 63 minute video that discusses the variety of combat types through out countries, types of swords and armor, movies, games, how and why they implemented the combat mechanics in to the game. And yes. this video has English audio unlike the Making of KC:D. I love watching/reading the KC:D videos and either falling asleep, resting or something to munch on, it'a a great cinematic experience for the price and the money helps support Warhorse Studios. It's on YouTube if you don't want to support Warhorse Studios.

More informative than most of what`s on Television and better presented than most of what`s on YouTube.
This documentary is a next high-quality product from Warhorse. I admire the professionality of the four main protagonists.

Very entertaining and insightful! I already liked the realistic approach they took to combat in Kingdom Come and now I know where it comes from and a bit about the people behind it.
p.s I have let myself go physically and after watching this I am quite pumped to take up some form of martial arts or maybe even fencing if its possible where I live. I really need to get myself active again and get in some decent shape!

Very good documentary. Interesting and diverse in terms of the different disciplines of fencing art.
Also very honest and rich in culture and information. This documentary shows the hard work they did when trying to capture some of the reality of sword fighting into Kingdom Come Deliverance. Totally recommended!
Very interesting insight into the mediaval fencing and what impact It had on creating the game. Certainly worth to watch.
Europeans excelled at martial arts. With time and after the development of modern warfare, european martial arts went forgoten, on the other hand very underdeveloped countries with primitive armies were able to retain martial arts traditions. Later on, chinese were humiliated by a real army during the opium wars, in exchange europeans got Karate Kid, Kung Fu, etc as a punishment.
Now is time to re-discover the good ol european martial arts, not only Asia excels in outdated and ornamental combat tactics.
Excellent documentary, especially worthy for those interested in HEMA. Awesome to know the great minds behind the combat in this game, among them, I'm especially glad to know about Peter Koza, such inspiring man, may God bless him.
I've always wanted a proper documentary and showcase of medieval swordfighting. Of course they didn't just leave it at that and also talked about other weapons and armor. Very nice watching experience from Warhorse!
I personally liked it, and I think that anyone who loves medieval warfare would be very engaged the whole by the close quarters combat information given out by the documentary for about an hour.
Also, I was at first dissuaded by the fact that the trailer only showed them talking in Czech with English subtitles, but it turns out the actual English version has voice overs by some kingdom come actors. (And it turned out pretty nice, the voices are very fitting to whom they represent). I also think that the ionic KCD music was a good touch as well.
I definitely recommend this excellent documentary to anyone interested in the development of the game or historical arts of defense. If you fall to both categories then, this is the must to see for you. It more focused on the arts of defense, but every aspect of this discipline is reflected on the game.
This is the best documentary on arts of defense, or fencing if you wish, I ever saw and by miles best documentary from and about czech(oslovak) scene I had chance to see.

It brought real memories up, so I might dust off my sword and listen to its song once more, although one damn long bastard sword would never sing along again that sweet melody of friendly duel.

Loved it. I practice HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) and this was not only very nice document about it as it covered many schools of practice but tied in historical evolution of arms and armor. Had also elements of game making and stage fighting.
Game studio to invest this much time in details surely has my attention!
Excellent, i cannot recommend this enough.
This is the best documentary i have seen about medieval European martial arts. Really well detailed, references important historical characters, shows the fighting styles through demonstration and through old manuscripts, interviews with some of Europe's finest sword fighting masters.
The documentary is also really filmed, its not just some behind the scenes mashup with poor camera work. There was obviously some serious budget behind it and i can guarantee you it was money well spent.
Perhaps the greatest redeeming feature of this is the dubbing. The people interviewed all speak Czech but the dubbing for the English language is all done by the various voice actors from the game.
10/10 Documenatry
I enjoyed it very much. It is not that much about the game itself, but the documentary introduces traditional martial techniques and philosophy to the contemporary viewer. It is amazing how many things were left behind in the course of our history.
When the masters and trainers in the documentary talk about european martial arts, it is not only to let you look at the techniques and their development, but to invite viewers attention to the almost forgotten world and minds of people back in the middle ages.
Really great. I can confidently recommend it to anyone who is at least a little bit interested to any of the mentioned above.
I didn't expect much from this documentary, even though it comes from Warhorse, and it turned out to be the best money spent on any cinematic experience so far.
Very inspiring and enjoyable documentary about swordfighting, its techniques and philosophy. Definitely a must see for anyone who has an affection for the medieval ages.
Seeing these masters in action and hearing them talk with such passion about the things they love was something I am very grateful for.
