This is another one of those RPG games that I love. This one is so different though, it's crude and not meant for children. I loved that it was so different. It even leaves you wanting more. I loved the weird aspect of it....
Cons: The only things I didn't like was that you don't get much free roam, you don't have a town to explore, you are just brought to the places. It would be nice to take time and explore a bit more. You also beat the game very fast.
As I always say, we need a depends button.
The game is very funny but very crude. However, if I had known the game was just a first chapter I wouldn't have purchased until there was a few more installments.
The only disappointing thing about this game is there was never a chapter 2(I don't think). I loved this game so much fun and a delight. Gave me many filthy laughs and great joy. I fell in love with this game from the bar till the end of it. I cannot praise this game enough. I wasn't even given 20GP to write this review cause they seriously wouldn't need to. Great game.
What can I say about Damned Daniel...this game made will make you laugh so hard you will wee a little bit and then make you go 'ooooh' it didnt just..did it? the answer is OH YES IT DID AND ITS FREAKING GLORIOUS!
the soundtrack is what stands out for me, the music in this game is amazing an absolute joy to listen. the controls are simple and easy to pick up, the game itself is beautiful, the story is well written and will make you giggle.
if you are looking for a dark humoured game, then this is the game for you!!

Anyone planning on buying this game needs to be warned that it's incredibly vile and disgusting and may not be for the faint of heart. But for those of us who love the foulest of dark humor, this game is a gem!
PROS:
- I agree that the game is quite short (it only took me around 2 hours to complete), but that isn't a problem for me at all. In fact I sometimes prefer shorter games.
- I love the zooms during cutscenes, especially towards the end when the camera zoomed in on the villain. That was pretty cool.
- The game was freaking hilarious! Once again, it definitely isn't for the faint of heart, but it gave me a chuckle.
- The game's writing is quite good, but this tends to make things more disturbing during the particularly gritty moments. A prime example of this is the scene with the dog's... infection... or whatever the hell it was... I honestly have no idea what exactly was wrong with that dog.
- I'm happy that there weren't non stop random encounters. The only battles you will be faced with are story related boss fights, which I find quite refreshing when compared to other titles that add way too many random encounters. Aside from these occasional battles, you gain exp by interacting with the environment which is quite interesting.
CONS:
- Usually I don't mind linear games that focus more on storytelling, but it would have been nice if I could have at least been able to explore the town a little bit. The game felt a bit hand holdey in that retrospect.
- I could very well be wrong, but I get the impression the developer didn't plan on adding a save option to the menu giving how the game always prompts you to save. If they intended to include the save option in the main menu for whatever reason, I think it would do well to have that option removed if the game is going to keep being this linear.
In conclusion, this game is bloody disgusting.. and it made me laugh quite a fair few times. But did you REALLY have to show a photo of the blood of the fallen angel...? The description was bad enough, and you had to include a photo... why...?
Hopefully you do get around to continuing this little series because I'll probably look into buying the next chapter when you end up releasing it.
The Lions Den enjoyed a full play through of Damned Daniel this weekend and everyone, myself included, could NOT stop laughing! This is a guided/Explorative RPG and is absolutely enjoyable. The design, landscape, characters, music and items are all done with great detail and the story is written really well. Just as with Metal as Phuk you will take a liking to one(or more) of the characters in this game but let's maybe hope you don't "relate" to any of them? hahahaha
Game Quality and Enjoyment are both a 10/10 from the Lions! Can't wait to see the next edition to this wonderful little gem!

Where to begin on the review for this game: Never have I ever laughed so hard over a game before. Over all game play was awesome. The story line flowed flawlessly through out the whole game. The imagination behind this game is epic. If I was not laughing I was busy being sucked into the story line. I feel sorry for Daniel lol. I CAN NOT wait for the second chapter to come out. If you ever need a good laugh then I would HIGHLY recommend this game. From the moment I started playing the game I was hooked. I felt a real connection with characters through out the whole game. I look forward to many more games that come from Red Mouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I started off loving this game, but the combat portion was way too difficult. Hey, I don't mind reloading and trying again...until I have to watch the same dialogue boxes over and over and over.
I also don't mind cheeky humor...but the in-depth description of std's gone wrong...too much.
Really had a blast playing through this game, loved the rpg style, brought back some good memories of older games i played. I laughed a lot, and had to have a couple others buy it so they could get in on my inside jokes. This is a lovely jewel of game that can lighten the day of anyone who sits and plays. Really looking forward to the next one that comes. Great job
This game was so much fum to play thru! The humor is crude but not horribly disgusting and the storyline is interesting enough to make the game enjoyable. Red Mouse is also a wonderful and amazing human, as well as being a good dev. I was much recommend this title for the laughs if nothing else!
THIS GAME! So let me start by saying I need more. The story is great and I can't wait to see where this goes. The writing was hilarious, and though the game play is slightly linear, it was still a fantastic play. I'm anxious to see where this one goes. If you like a classic rpg styled game with more laughs than expected, give this game a shot.
Lets be frank about this, What isn't there to like about this game? Its got retro style graphics, a witty yet sarcastic and dirty sense of humour which adds a monumental greatness to an rpg styled game. I never had a dull moment.. from reading attack names to hidden references (mind the cup) which really added a layer of humour I believe is missing in some AAA titles, Writing props to both Red Mouse Games and Crankage Games for that. This is definitely not for kids but definitely for the adults who grew up and loved rpgs with a witty side. I would recommend this 10/10

Never before have I played such a crass, disgusting, filthy, deplorable game. And I kinda liked it.
In Damned Daniel you play a struggling alchemist Daniel, who is gifted a book of the damned from a mysterious benefactor. Within its pages are recipes for potions that are very specific to his client’s requests
Mostly STD removal and potions for tripping balls.
It’s a comedy game, and was writting by the creator of Metal as Phuk and The Adventures of Quiver Dick. HOWEVER, it was created by a different developer, Red Mouse Games. This does little to affect the general feel of the story (Crankage has a..unique voice), but the way the game flows is slightly different compared to other games developed by Crankage Games themselves. Either way, it’s still hilariously funny, and incredibly crass. In fact...it’s probably the most crass and disgusting one in the entire library of BOTH developers.
Which honestly...for me at least, went a little too far. There’s a dog and it has...Look, I’m not going to get into details, but the game spares no punches as it gives an entirely too descriptive description of just what is wrong with this dog and it’s, uh, undercarriage.
Aside from that, just when the story is getting nice and interesting, it ends. I was left kind of going ‘that’s it?!’ and that’s both a good and bad thing. Good in the fact that I wanted more, but bad that there wasn’t anything left to satiate my appetite.

I loved it, and can't wait for the next installment of the series. The story draws you in, I want to know what has become of some of the characters you meet along the way, and what lays in Daniel's future.
The game runs smoothly, plays well. The combat is challenging and the humour is top class. It is the type of game that proves you don't need to be a large Dev team to make superb games. For its price, I can't praise this enough, Its one of those little Gems of a game that everyone should play.
Red Mouse Games has a very bright future ahead.
I couldn't stomach past the graphic descriptions of STDs gone unchecked. The game lost all of its charm the moment I met a bee who had been peed on by a diseased dog. If that's your type of sick humor, great for you, but this just turned out not to be for me.
A very fun, story driven little indie rpg with a little action here and there . The story and dialogue was well written with a lot of humour (adult kind) and nicely paced. Took about 3 hours to play through - nice for playing in one go and well worth the price.
The game produced many smiles for me while playing and now I can't wait for the next part of the story...

A great fun and challenging game to play. The game is a refreshing look at other RPG's with excellently written humor. The only response I could give is DAAAAMMMNNNNNNN DANIELLLLLLLL!!!!
While i recommend the product, i do hope more gets added to it as i finished it in 1hr 30mins
I enjoyed the game (although i dislike having my character controlled so much throughout, i would prefer to always be in control of my character outside of cutscenes) but please add a lot more to it going forward as it is way too short.
