USER-FRIENDLY GAME INTERFACE:
- Random map generator allows full control over the size and type of the map, from full land maps, to one continent maps, to island hopping maps with hundreds of islands.
- Powerful AI strategy on the world map, and AI tactics on the battle map enhance game play.
- If you prefer not to manage some aspect of the game, such as controlling your units in battle, managing cities, or managing workers/resources, you may assign any or all tasks to AI control, so you can focus on aspects of the game you prefer. IN-DEPTH WORLD OF FANTASY AND MAGIC:
- Find and create powerful magic items for your units, such as weapons, armor, shields, helm, rings, amulet, and boots. Items increase unit attributes, and have special enchantments to further enhance unit abilities (such as Health Regeneration, Dragon Slaying, or Invisibility).
- Increase unit experience and level as you win battles. As units increase in level, you determine which new spells, attacks, abilities, stats or attributes they learn.
- Summon powerful magical units to join the ranks of your armies, such as Dragons, Lich Lords, Rock Behemoths, and Shadow Rift Spawns, and lay waste to entire armies of less powerful units.
ENGAGING CITY MANAGEMENT:
- Over 160 unique buildings can be built in each city. Streamlined interface allows quickly choosing building priority queues, so you never get bogged down with micromanagement.
- Over 200 technologies to research, increasing various aspects of your empire.
- Hire mercenaries in your cities as they make themselves available based on various factors which you influence.

Winner.
So many interesting mechanics and seems well thought-out overall.
Having a blast coming up with various ways to improve my cities and explore deeper dungeons.
I fuckin tried to get into it but god this game can get soooooo tedious. If I automate 3 workers I shouldn't be getting up to 50k gold with barely any improvements built anywhere. As much as the city building is fun I cbf placing 2 million lumber yards/farms/fish nets/etc. Need some major QoL improvements for the price you pay.
A quite relaxing and meditative strategy/management fantasy game!
Liked:
1) Interesting way of calculating armor and damage values (chanes + hits + strikes!)
2) Lot of campaign settings, including amazing map generation tool and adjustable city range (from zero to eight hexes!)
3) Option to disable default mouse edge-scroll (only via manual editing settings file)
4) It inherited much atmosphere from game I played long-long time age which name was Master Of Magic
Not liked:
1) Icons of units are obscenely amateurish :(
There are some cool units I never-ever accept in my army purely because of its un-estetic appearance (Basilisk, Moss Giant etc..). Hope creator will fix this upon release. Also, there is mod which fixes it (icons are epic, but they are gathered from across the internet, so, they aren't "genuine" withing the current game).
2) CRITICAL technical issues/bugs which prevent playing the game.
That's fine to have issues in beta, but at the time of writing there is no sign of any assistance in solving those problems from the dev's side.
I hope, those tech problems may be fixed but until then, I cannot recommend the game in its current state for the checkout :(
At first glance, you might think to play this as a civilization game - build your cities to destroy your opponents. Forget that. Dragons. Research spells to summon dragons. Clear dungeons to level dragons. Build your cities to make tons of money and mana. Why? Dragons are expensive. Hire heroes and level them up to train your dragons. Defeat the other empires so they can't shoot down your dragons.
That's probably the most fun I've had in this game. Don't try to play this game as it seems intended - you gotta find your own fun.
