THIS GAME IS HORRID IN 2.0 waste of my money and time with so many bugs i rage quit after like 5 mins each time. for a game with so much hype i honestly cant understand how its so bad. fix your damn game instead of adding stupid unneeded stuff. my only regret is not being able to refund right now huge waste of $25

I thought this game was a dead game, cash grab situation and then I saw that they had a couple new updates, so i thought i would check it out again. I am blown away at how much better the game feels and it is 100% worth buying now! It's fun and fluid feeling. It's everything I wanted at launch! what a turnaround!

Just want to write an updated review for people who are looking into this game.
It's good. It's giving me early Skate vibes. The newest update (just played for the first time since it updated) now has a full Mod. io thing where you can download new maps n stuff, which was my gripe with the game before this update.
The tricks are pretty dope, you can do unlimited slow-mo if you want, and the tricks/gaps feel rewarding.
It's still super janky but it isn't bad enough to ruin the experience of what is otherwise a straight up jam session BMX game.
IDK, like, 7/10 at this point, for what it is.

Game is super addicting and tons of fun. The new feel in 2.0 is just what the game needed

game is fun 1.0 feels so wrong, then 2.0 feels so right the dirt jumping is insanely fun grinds and parks are eh but still fun

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME OR SUPPORT THIS MAN. This was made by a cyberstalker and the game is inconsistent and broken and laggy and the game is NOT MEANT FOR FUN. The game is meant to hurt you and confuse you. Do not support Mash. Mash Box is even worse.

i used to play pipe lots and omg what a awful game in comparison this is

I’ve put about 100 hours into the game so far. The first couple of hours felt impossible. Now I’ve completed almost all the challenges. Once it clicks, it’s a ton of fun. Big learning curve if you haven't played this style of game before. Yeah, it’s a bit buggy but nothing that ruins the experience. The good definitely outweighs the bad.

I want to like this game so bad. The bike physics are really cool and I love a good BMX game. There's also enough content here to keep you engaged and plenty of unlocks and customizing options. But the presentation right out of the gate is just really bad for a game in 1.0.

It's super janky and buggy and I am having a really hard time pushing through the beginning tutorials because of how many bugs I have encountered in such a short time. This game really needs more time in the oven to work these kinks out. If it's resolved, it will be an excellent BMX game.

My character keeps floating above the ground, legs keep clipping through the ground, and getting up off the ground after falling is hilariously janky. Buy at your own risk knowing this.

**2.0 review update**

I don't know why they forced an alpha version of 2.0 on players. Seems really odd unless they intend to fully realize 2.0 in like a week's time. People aren't going to stick around for a game they paid for when the content has been stripped from it. At least I wouldn't think. I on the other hand will hold out hope this gets done quick.

the game is dogshit it self.. not worth 5e and they selling for 40 or smthing..
they put out mashbox and its free and better than this idiotic game.. and they havent change nothing from the relese.

This game is actually awful. Worst game ive played, i wouldn't recommend playing this till the game play is 95% better. awful game don't spend your money on it

Feels like the BMX version of Skate 3. Was unimpressed with base game until I downloaded 2.0 pre-alpha + mod maps. Now I cant put it down.

If youve never played a game similar to this one prior to playing it can seem impossible to hit trick lines and even just control your character but once you get the hang of it the game is very rewarding and fun to play ive tried the original and the 2.0 and i feel like the bike is more slippery in 2.0 which isnt really a bad thing but its weird to get used to

overall this game is well worth the money and the community maps are amazing this seems like it could be another skate 3 meaning the replay-ability is amazing and will probably live on for years

the rebuild for BMX streets 2.0 is going so well the physics are 10x better now then from launch

This game rocks, and the modding community for it aswell.
It can take some getting used to but overall the game is dope :)

I've been waiting for years for streets to come out and finally got a pc to play it, this game is very fun and enjoyable feels just like riding my BMX except being way better, if u love BMX or just want to try the game out i highly recommend very fun probably isn't worth 60 AUD but it is whaty it is.

cracking game. still lots more to come, so much potential. even as it is it is by far the best bmx game out would 100% buy it. i held off buying it for a while as i wasnt sure how it was going to be but no regrets buying it all. having so much fun with it atm

This game had a rocky start, But all i can say is that the developer mash games has continued to improve and patch this game and be transparent with everything he has been doing in discord and even with the changes he is making the game keeps getting better and better and the community that it has built over the years of his previous game pipe and now this one give me more reason to continue to play and follow this developer in the future! if you are a Bmx rider and you need a game to pass the rainy days and injuries that we all get, This game is highly recommended!!

Best Bmx game thats been put out in quite some time, with constant updates on the beta and pre-alpha side and tons of community engagement, its already proving itself and will continue to get better with the constant feedback from the discord community 10/10 recommended

be great if there was a character customization instead of stuck with helmet, its a good idea of a game, but could use little more love

V1 of this game was highly anticipated and under-delivered. the developer has since added a V2 beta for free if you opt into it and regularly makes updates to the game. its come a very long way and at no extra cost to the customers who believed enough to buy in from day one. Thanks mash - cant wait for the full release of 2.0

the modded maps are ace and the game keeps getting better and better ... if you buy the game now get it set up to the prealpha as you will get the updates and the better game play .... any xgames fans would love this game.. old school skate 1 2 and 3 vibs but with a BMX!!! AND THE GAME LOOKS GRATE AND PLAYS GRATE

As someone who’s put over 340 hours into this game, I can confidently say it’s the best BMX game ever made. A lot of the negative reviews come from people who expected a fully polished game from day one without realizing there’s only one developer behind it all. Mash is one of the most humble, transparent, and responsive creators I’ve ever seen. He listens, adapts, and genuinely cares about making this game the best version it can be. Also to clear something up this game was never a scam. When Mash first dropped the game, people complained that the price was too high for its early state. So what did he do? He listened and lowered the price to make it more accessible. Then, ironically, the same people who bought it early at full price turned around and said they felt scammed. That’s what happens when you ask for a price drop and the dev actually listens. Personally, I paid the original price and I still think it was 100% worth it. Mash deserved every dollar for the effort, time, and passion he put into this project. Also the modding community doesn’t carry this game. What makes it shine is what Mash built from the ground up. He introduced customizable physics settings to create a realistic BMX experience that prioritizes smoothness and immersion just like riding in real life. That said, the mod community has been a huge support system. While Mash works day and night refining the core gameplay, the modders drop creative maps that keep the game exciting, fresh, and fun. They help hold it down while the official build continues to improve, and that’s what makes this community special it’s collaborative. The updates aren’t just filler. They’re real improvements driven by player feedback. From where the game started to where it is now, the growth has been insane. Night and day difference. This game is still evolving, and if you give it the time and support it deserves, it’ll blow your expectations. If you’re someone who enjoys being part of a game’s journey not just the polished final product, this is the community you want to be in. Highly recommend giving it a fair shot. The best is yet to come.

Be sure to use alpha 2.0 for this in the beta branches, this is where mash is getting everything ready for the overhaul of the game, runs better, tricks feel smoother, and easy mods through the discord

The release version feels unfinished and lifeless. There is a 2.0 version coming but i don't have high hopes it will end up being an actual improvement on the original release. There should be a roadmap/devblog available here on the steam page, i shouldn't have to go to discord to see that this game isn't abandonware.

best bmx game ever, mash tries his hardest to listen to everyone dumb suggestions lol give it time hes got big plans for this its a very small team working on it and all of them are active on the discord helping people and talking about how to make the game better

Enjoyed 1.0, and I was hopeful for the future of a 2.0 re-make with better physics and more integration with map makers/mods, but unfortunately, even after 1.0 with his over-priced initial release, Mash still does not understand that the mod-makers and map creators are carrying the future of this game. His ego far outweighs his ability to make anything within a timely manner, and cannot take any real feedback, because he believes "his way is correct, its the users fault", despite still actively learning game development ranging from creating his own maps, coding physics, even to simple Unity asset integrations.


Blaming players for using mods when things break (even though he was the one who broke them, and fully supported the making of mods for his game; destroyed assemblies (and continuously saying they were not broken), lack of map-support in the form of scripting, audio tags, or even audio injection), or even changing major pipeline support causing older mod maps to break, with no way of remedying without a full re-build and then being limited by his implementation.


The 2.0 remake started with "Mash Box", simply a separate entity to test his implementations and dev work. It was started with a public discord server to allow users to join and give feedback, where he would give insider info about the work he was doing, and why, and allowing players to test and give their own opinion to make the game better for everyone.


Since he's moved on to "2.0prealpha" and his "don't - pre-prealpha" releases, he has gone nearly completely silent in the development and feedback side of the game, with much, much more work to be done.


Every iteration is one step forward with two steps back, and he refuses to acknowledge any concerns, simply stating "it works on my end", even though the release that users have does not work. Even when widespread issues occur, Mash would rather call those players "entitled" and "their fault for doing x", instead of looking into, and fixing his mistakes. Even when he does acknowledge issues, he simply shrugs them off as "its not a big deal", and tries to downplay the user experience, much like how he responded to the "scam" allegations with 1.0, telling players "if you cannot afford it, oh well", while he was charging $50usd+ for an unfinished sandbox, that he had no plans on fully finishing.


There's also the console side of the debate, where Mash believes that even this state of the 2.0 prealpha (April 30th, 2025, patch 28740450) is a "finished PC build", and that he could simply port everything over to console as-is , and call it finished. (Also posted in the Official BMX Streets discord). I'm not even going to go into that side, as I don't care for console, but the fundamental principle of it is disgusting.

once you get used to the physics you can really link together some sick lines

I have been absolutely hooked on this game! Version 2.0 is buttery smooth and it scratches that itch that Skate 3 used to fulfill. With easy Mod support for maps and such a good community for modding expands on this to an infinite degree. The only issue is that the developer keeps updating it and killing the mods so hopefully her realizes that all the games that go on to live forever have huge modding communities and he needs to let it live! Anyway, thank you Mash for making this such a fun relaxing physics based game that I can play for hours.

If this game didn't have such a good modding community ever since pipe came out in 2018 it would've flopped. badly

mechanics and controls are not like PIPE, very difficult to get used to.

I'm generally enjoy these types of games, I'm a huge fan of Session and other sports sims. But the controls are just awful and it's extremely janky.
For now I'd stick to Mashbox until they make some improvements, however I don't have high hopes.

When i say no to recommending this game, i mean i don't recommend the base game. If your anything like me and have played PIPE but hate how the controls and physics feel, rather do NOT buy BMX Streets, instead get MashBox which is completely free, see if you like the physics in that game then come back. If i we're too recommend this game i would recommend the beta (U can find it in properties beta then 2.0prealpha) it's a lot like mashbox, where the game gets boring quick without knowing how to mod, so unless you know or expect to learn how i wouldn't even recommend the beta although the modding process is very easy. The beta that i talk about also comes with a little bit bigger variety of mods. Hope this review helped [ Give rewards please lol ]

Probably one the all time greatest technical showcases in terms of video games that represent replication of real life physics scenarios. For bmx, you cant get any better than this. Truley.

just a blatant scam... feels identical to a game you would get with random keys or something, stopped support for a broken game a year ago. i normally don't leave bad reviews but seriously think about this purchase if you are thinking about it, most id pay for it is $10 let alone $60...
(edit went to the discord to ask why its unfinished, the dev and about 5 people began just saying its updated daily... then i got banned from the discord....) after my own hour research there is a "2.0" beta version so you are paying $60 for a unfinished game that acts like a finished game but in reality its a beta game.

Fun with mods, but without them your pegs will be like 2 inches long and you'll be staring dead at that ground in first person.

this game is skitz, dave mirra would be proud.

The dynamics take time to get used to but other than that its actually a really good game with much more potential.
