So... this is what addiction feels like...
It's nice and interesting to play, with a lot of good things, but somehow it still is.... not good enough.
Quite buggy, the interface is clearly lacking in a LOT of features you would need, too much micro-management of telling trains to go for maintenance for example, no way to see all the trains going to a station for instance, and many others.
Some of the mechanics are quite poorly thought of - the HR department is rather useless (employees just give out some global perks), the Lobby department is also quite random (some perks on buying/selling some merchandise) and overall it's just a tad bit TOO frustrating.
Somehow, Transport Tycoon Deluxe had it right AGES ago... in terms of managing your fleet, stations and in terms of mechanics.
Play it if you like trains, leave it if you hate the micro management, bugs and basic interface (which is not the point at all)

Meh, it's like a watered down OpenTTD with better graphics. There's not much control on building, any terraforming is automatic and while building rails there's noticeable performance issues (medium graphics on a 3060ti). Overall? Even with it on sale it feels like a ripoff. Guess I'm back to hoping to find a new train game.
fantastic tycoon/management/logistics game. the challenge level is just right, especially when trying to beat the optional time limit - I usually have to think through my approach, especially early in a mission. towards the end of a mission though my finances tend to snowball, and it gets pretty easy if I started out well. I'd definitely recommend the game to fans of the genre. for some reason, my achievements stopped registering after my first play session; otherwise, it's been a perfect experience.

If you enjoy train tycoon sandbox games, this is a great game for you. It's got a good pace to get you into the mechanics and gets good progression. The campaign is pretty balanced
Interesting game for those who love locomotives.
This is either the 1st or 2nd railway game I've ever played (other one being Mashinsky) and I genuinely cannot remember buying it (turns out I bought it randomly when it was on sale in 2022 and then didn't install it for 2 years)!
I've found it to be rather therapeutic in nature. It's nice to set up a nice network and then throw more trains at the problem, so I'd recommend it. There are things which I would change, there should:
* be an option to say 'repair my train when its health is less than a threshold' - currently, when I have 100+ trains, I merely wait until they break, which is.... Not great
* be a way to see which towns want to consume a product rather than only those who are producing it
* be a way to see which trains are scheduled to interact with a station, hard to do it
* be a way to see historic notifications, sometimes, the notifications disappear too quickly and I can't remember what I was meant to do. Maybe a 'scratch pad' so I can keep notes of what I want to check.
* be a way to define double or triple tracking along with the associated cross track junctions. Right now, this is fiddly and I'm not sure the current way adds any value to the experience
What would be lovely...
* A way to grow more primary resources - I keep running out of grain farms etc.
* A way to expand a coal / ore mine
There are probably other things that I would want to change, but I want to go back to see the next mission. And that's a sign that despite everything above, I definitely still recommend it. I'm looking forwards to the sequel being released next month.
