- Ассиметричность: каждый игрок начинает игру с различными ресурсами и средствами (количеством энергии, монет, популярности и собственными представлениями о ведении боя...), в различных начальных точках и с различными секретными целями. Начальные точки специально заданы, чтобы подчеркнуть уникальность каждой фракции и ассиметричную природу игры.
- Стратегия: Scythe обеспечивает для игроков почти полный контроль над собственной судьбой. Единственные элементы случайности, за исключением индивидуальной карты секретной миссии — это карты встреч, которые игроки вытягивают из колоды для взаимодействия с жителями новооткрытых земель. Бой так же происходит соответственно выбору игрока, в нем нет места удаче или случайности.
- Машиностроение: игроки могут расширять свои строительные возможности, чтобы повышать эффективность, строить здания, улучшающие их положение на карте, вербовать новых рекрутов для присоединения к своей фракции, активировать мехов для охраны от нападения противников и расширять границы для получения большего количества лучших ресурсов. Благодаря этому по ходу действия всей игры создается ощущение деятельности и продвижения. Порядок, в котором игроки могут развивать свою экономику и технологии, обеспечивает уникальность каждой игры даже при условии выбора одной и той же фракции несколько раз подряд.

I think it's a great version of the board game. I love it. What else can I say?
This is one of the best board games I have ever played! The digital version has all of the same mechanics, with the benefit of keeping track of scores in real-time. The gameplay is smooth and intuitive. Hats off to the programmers for getting everything right!

Its a really fun game, and everything looks great and works really well. Is a little tricky to learn the mechanics of how to control everything in the game at first, but the tutorial does a good job of helping with that

I didn't really get past the tutorials before i got bored. I have too large of a game backlog to keep trying, just going to pass.
Really entertaining game
I play mainly for the solo mode, as I also have the board game which I play with others.
Fantastic board game. The digital edition is fun, but unforgiving. I bought it because I enjoy the board game so much and wanted to test myself against other ranked players--it's been fun! The mechanics of the app can be frustrating at times. But overall, would reccommend to anyone who likes strategy games.
Bugs, i had Faction option to choose 2 bonuses from encounter card, system did not allow me to do so. Fix it please.
great board game
great adaption of the boardgame. UI takes a little getting used to but it's intuitive.
After not getting along with playing this IRL (potentially due to tiredness and introversion) I decided to give the video game adaptation a whirl and yep, sorted me right out.
I notice people seem to also get frustrated at the layout in the video game just as much as I initially did by the board game; once you've been patient in familiarising yourself with its functions it's brilliant, now I'm comfortable to keep playing and hope to retry the board game ASAP

It seems to have been largely abandoned by the company and runs like garbage. Plans for expansions were also canned indicating that the owners have no faith in this and won't spend any resources to keep it running smoothly.
Wish I'd tried this before the 2 weeks were up, I'd be refunding.
Clunky and unintuitive. It's complicated where it should be simple, and simple where it should have complexity.
Maybe I'll give it another try later on. Seems like it's just kind of a mess TBH.

I bought this game to learn the rules for the tabletop game someone planned to bring this weekend. It's a complex game and I could tell I was going to need some time and experience with it. I'm really enjoying it and find it to have a lot of ways to win. Only complaint I have is that sometimes moving pieces can be a little janky in the execution. Fun game, no real issues.
Enjoyable game. Had the board game version first. A few of the controls in the digital version could use improvement, it's not as intuitive at first as it could be.

Scythe is a euro classic in the board game hobby. It has seduced many newcomers and veterans with its beautiful artwork and enticing setting. As somebody who has played the physical version many times, I can safely recommend this digital version that does not feel half-baked compared to other digital releases that have the bare minimum of work put into them.
The digital edition of Scythe offers a beautiful board filled with 3d models that can be customized and colored. I wished that the game would go even a few steps further than just representing the physical components but it just does that. The game renders the physical components in a neat way while accompanying you with some classical music to set the mood.
What I enjoy so much about the digital version is that it streamlines the book-keeping and it's easier to keep tracks of victory points, resources and the movement of units. The interface does a competent job at displaying all the information required to make informed decisions and plan ahead.
You can either engage in PvP or PvE against bots. I personally play with a friend in a FFA setting which works well for us. I haven't played much against others except for my Steam friends so I don't know much about the online community. The bots are super competent and can be adjusted to your skill level. They are a serious challenge and it some time to get a grasp on the game. The game does a bad job at explaining the general game flow so you just need to play a few games to get a feeling for the pace.
My biggest gripe is that there are some actions which have not an undo button. Sometimes you commit to actions in an obtuse way where you may have accidently misclicked because the interface can be overly busy. It's hard to describe but some straight forward actions require a lot of input from the player which is odd at times. It doesn't destract to much if you're familiar with the game and played a few times. For instance, if you dedicate your turn to an action which has several sub-steps, you are fully committed to it even if you just wanted to evaluate your options at your disposal. This is really more of an issue if you're not playing that reguarly and are not aware at the full consequences of some actions.
Otherwise, I cannot complain much else. The game works fine and seems bugfree, the online elements work just fine and it it is a faithful recreation of the board game.
I honestly wish that they would just have animated the gameworld a bit more with various assets, the setting is just so interesting and unique.
This game checks all the boxes for me. Worker placement. Eastern block vibe. A little combat. Low RNG. Sweet looking map. Nice strategy game.
