PAWTTLE ROYALE - Grab up to 8 Players and compete against your friends via local Co-op or Steam Remote Play. Pick your favorite dog and tee off simultaneously as you compete for the best score on a series of procedurally generated courses. No two matches are ever the same!
WORLD TOUR - Master the art of Dog Golfing as you compete through a series of 20 unique worlds. Each world adds new challenges and features to test your skill. Compete against friends on the Global Leaderboards for dog park supremacy and earn coins to unlock new puck skins.
SHOT STREAKER - See how long you can keep your streak going in this challenge mode where you have a limited amount of shots per hole. Each time you play new holes will be generated, so no two rounds are ever the same. Only true masters will climb the ladder and become a Dog Golf hero.
ENDLESS JOURNEY - No hole is ever the same but all players complete holes in the same order! Play forever as you explore the infinite universe of Dog Golfing. This mode literally never ends, even the developer doesn't know what lies ahead. Will there be dog treats? Who knows?
DOG GOLF ARENA - It's Dog vs. Dog in this local 2 player battle for the title of ultimate Dog Golfer. Can't find a friend? No problem! Take on one of 5 highly skilled Robotic K-9 neural network learning machines.
PRACTICE GREEN - Hone your craft and learn to play Dog Golf on an unlimited number of randomized holes. Learn the unique skills of each Dog Golfer, and become a true champion in the Dog Golf community.

and choose the type of shot, but it's very fun and casual.

Dog Gone Golfing is one of those games you can either pick up and play a quick game, or you can spend all night playing. A full 18-hydrant(hole) game alone takes about 10-15 minutes. You can also play SIMULTANEOUSLY with up to 8-players at the same time.
This 2D party golf royale is both fun, simple, and intuitive. It's a great way to relax and not take life too seriously. The levels are proceduraly generated, so no 2 games will ever be the same. As you play, you gain coins to unlock new golf "pucks" that can be anything from a fish, to a mushroom, and many things in between. IT'S JUST A FUN PARTY GAME!!

I bought this game as a joke and quickly realized how fun it is. It's worth buying it on sale, at least to support the devs

DOG GONE GOLFING is a game developed and published by Vagabond Dog
The game offers some nice graphics, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same
DOG GONE GOLFING overall, however, is a fun game to play, and it does get boring if being played for a long time, but is an okay-ish casual strategy game to play in short bursts!

Hard to recommend. Frustrating course design, several par 3 holes that just dont make sense for being par 3s. Inconsistent power, impossible to become consistent with certain shot scenarios. Too much randomness, even with characters counteracting that random factor.
I don't see a lot of people actually enjoying this because is "hard to learn, almost impossible to master".
I thought it would be fun, but no, not really unfortunately.
I should also add that no online multiplayer is a bummer, especially considering other, better golf games on the market,

A simple Worms-style gameplay, at a rock-bottom price. Could have used more polish. For example, the functions of the two action-types are not explained. There are no golf clubs to select, nor directions to aim. The mechanics of obsticles, wind speeds, and ability-skills are not explained. The system of meta-game unlocks are not explained. Also, I am very annoyed that the xbox-style gamepad controller doesn't work.
If you have the patience to look past the short-comings, then I think there is a golf-campaign to be explored. You will be limited to only one club, only hitting the ball straight ahead, and a having to learn as you go. Maybe you can even get your controller working with it. Dog Gone Golfing uses the Game Maker game engine. I tried playing this on an Ubuntu 18.10 system.
I bet the designer had a lot of fun playing this game, but he seems to have had trouble figuring out how to share his experience with new players. I also had a problem with the achievements. I don't think they are working.
Update fto review aafter playing a few hours for card-drops... I can see how this might be enjoyable for couch competition with friends. The simplicity of the controls lends itself to effortless entertainment, that would be compatible with heavy drinking. You might consider picking this up at an inexpensive sale price, if you have a bunch of controllers and have a bro-party planned.
This game is trash
This game doesn't have the best golfing mechanics or the best soundtrack (aka the same song looping over and over and over again) which is completely fine if you hate yourself. This game is definitely not worth $2 or the $0.49 i paid for it. It is maybe worth $0.25 but even that's too much.
Game is too easy and every single hole has the same damn par set to 3 which is stupid. The maps are always the same size and have the same layout 90% of the time. It doesn't take long to get bored of the same level and background/maps it only took me like 10 minutes to realise how garbage it is. There really isn't any actual gameplay to look forward to because, like i said, it's the same thing over and over and over and over again and it get's old way too fast.
If i had to rate it on a scale of 1-10 i'd give it a 4/10. Yes it is being refunded and no it is not fun.
Dog Gone Golfing is an adorable title where you pick a dog and go golfing...with hockey pucks because the dogs chewed all the golf balls up. The game itself is fairly simple, with the objective being to get the puck in the hole in as few moves as possible. This game is easy to pick up and play, and if you aren't careful, you might get sucked in for hours. I was really impressed with the amount of content that was in this game despite it being only $2.29. Overall, it's a great and charming game for your library. :)
Despite my positive feelings, this game is not free from problems. One issue I have with this game is that it does not feature an online multiplayer mode. This is something the developers should really consider adding, as it would take their game to the next level. Dog Gone Golfing is a hilarious and cute game, and would only be enhanced by playing it with a couple of friends online.

Such fun! Much wow! Great little indie golf game with unique challenge and squished metroid! Forgot to mention. The will not lock itself at 60fps so if you are on a 143htz monitor like me your game will run at double speed. Oddly enough I like it like that but you should be warned.
Adorable, charming and funny game with a lot of heart in it. Super easy to pick up and play with a friend and loads of fun for less than the cost of lunch, I almost wish I had bought it at full price instead of on sale!
