** UPDATE** Now includes zombies in the lair per your requests. Thanks for your support! DAYLIGHT'S END THE VR EDITION is the first movie to be released in theaters and in VR on the same day. In the experience you are inside the "infected" lair with a giant screen to view the movie. You can unlock weapons by purchasing the chapters of the movie. Just for watching the trailer, you get a free pistol. Movie Synopsis - Years after a mysterious plague has devastated the planet and turned most of humanity into blood-hungry creatures, a rogue drifter on a vengeful hunt stumbles across a band of survivors in an abandoned police station and reluctantly agrees to try to help them defend themselves and escape to the sanctuary they so desperately need. In the experience you are inside the "infected" lair. As you unlock chapters, you will receive weapons used in the movie. Weapons used by Thomas Rourke (Johnny Strong) includes a Colt M1911A1, Double Barreled Shotgun with Exposed Hammers and a M14 - SOCOM 16. Frank Hill (Lance Henriksen) uses a custom engraved nickel plated Colt MKIV Series 80 with pearl grips and a Savage/Stevens 311A Sawed Off Shotgun M4A1 used by Ethan Hill (Louis Mandylor) Glock 17 used by Bishop (Ed Spila) AK-104 used by Vlad Romanov (Sonny Puzikas) MPi-KM-72 used by Ernesta (Heather Kafka) M-16 used by Harker (Matt Beckham) DAYLIGHT’S END was shot in Dallas and points ranging from East Texas to the west Texas town of Rio (pop. 3) along the famed Route 66, the film is a hard driving action-horror-thriller starring Johnny Strong (THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS, BLACK HAWK DOWN), Lance Henriksen (ALIEN, TERMINATOR) and Louis Mandaylor (MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING, SINNERS AND SAINTS). The movie focuses on a rogue drifter who’s on a vengeful hunt, years after a mysterious plague has devastated the planet and turned most of humanity into blood-hungry creatures. Chad Law wrote the story for the VR prequel, which movie fans will be able to recognize some friendly and unfriendly faces. The VR chapter is a prequel storyline that stars Johnny Strong, returning as “Thomas Rourke”, the dark and dangerous anti-hero in the feature film. Strong has appeared in BLACK HAWK DOWN, THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS, and GET CARTER. Strong was named “2012’s Breakout Action Star” of the year in William Kaufman’s “SINNERS AND SAINTS.” Running time: 105 minutes The sounds in the VR Experience were custom created by Sound Designer Johnny Marshall utilizing samples from the BOOM Cinematic Guns SFX Libraries.Поддерживаемые языки: english

More of an virtual advertisement for the movie than a real game.
I had just seen the movie and thought I'd be able to play in that environment. It's a lot of target practice.
Trying to watch the trailer was choppy for me. I have an average rig, though. I'm still trying to understand why someone would want to see a movie with a headset on.
I really hope this becomes a thing in the future. Why?
1. This is actually a very good price for a newly released movie alone.
2. It comes with it's own theme based cinema which also has dust floating around.
3. It comes with guns from the movie. You can shoot the screen, bottles and boxes while watching the movie.
Imagine if the next Avengers movie was released in VR at the same time it is released in cinemas. It comes with it's own themed cinema and you have Captain America's shield, Thor's hammer, Ironman's tech and so on.
I really hope that more of these will appear on steam and a big shout out to the guys and gals who made this VR experience available. Hopefully many will follow.
I want you to buy this for two reasons.
1. It is well worth the money. You are buying an entire movie at this low price and it comes with extras.
2. If it does well, more will follow. Let's make this happen!
