Pick a small country. Get eaten by a big country after hours of playing because no one wants to be your friend. Good game.
I played a bit and i dont recomend it
GOOD GAME
Paradox Interactive,♥♥♥♥ U! The new log of Hearts of Iron IV really has you. Is India your ancestor or Sweden's ancestor? Did they mate with lizards to give birth to the P Society, or even the Imperial Cemetery? Could this be a Swedish cemetery with the intention of splitting the People's Republic of China? What is the relationship between India and silk? If you give the core to India or not to China, then return to the Silk Empire. What is the relationship between India and silk? Did you shoot it out during the gluing process of Indian Asan? Are they your fathers? Damn it, Chinese players have spent so much money to support you. You just play games like this. Is it because China's economic and military capabilities are too weak or its population is too small? How dare you challenge China? Damn animal company
I wanted to write sth about the game, but my comment falls to rebels
One of the best grand strategy game I have ever played but with mods it makes the experience 10x better.
Best grand strategy game ever
Sadly better than victoria 3 with real combat.
Without mods, the game isn't that spectacular. A lot of the content/favor that is available to you in the base game could be fully completed in around a decade of in game time (which would be around an hour in real time probably.) And while a sandbox-like strategy game does sound fun in concept, it eventually gets boring when you realize that almost every nation plays the same. If I was reviewing Victoria 2 for it's base game contents only, I wouldn't recommend it. But with mods, this game is amazing. Victoria 2's dedicated community turned this into a neat old paradox title from around a decade ago, to probably the most addicting thing I've ever played. HPM, HFM, and GFM alone completely revamp the entire experience. Also, installing mods for is extremely easy.
overall, I'll give it a 7/10
"The militant socialists have risen up against your militant socialist government" Ah yes, we were not militant socialist enough
is good i can subjugate people
make this a hoi4 mod
the best game paradox ever made
fuck this gen z dumbasses that cant handle complexity
very good
Buaidh airson Ìmpireachd na Gearmailt!
One of the best games ever for strategists- and it still is, despite it's age.
Literally Peak, sure I got my ass beat in almost every war I engaged in but when I didn't focus on conquering all my neighbor I actually thrived and had a decent run, so uh pretty good. 10/10 would modernize Persia again
Still better then vicky 3
Japan very fun, love game - Indan Man
Love the game as well as the lotr mod!
É um bom jogo, mas enjoa rápido.
This game in a nutshell - "There are 400.000 artisans that are starving to death, but it's not necessarily a bad thing"
Now the old king is dead, that was when I ruled the world.
Great game; really interesting and simple war and population system.
The game can easily be learnt but is really hard to master.
Our Dixie forever! She's never at a loss, down with the eagle and up with the cross!
Simply a perfect game for people that enjoy complex strategic games. My only objection is that statistics for wars is lacking. But otherwise just perfect.
Classic.
But If you want to really enjoy the game, you'll need mods like HPM
its a pretty cool game, i would recommend the steam guides instead of yt cuz you can read at your pace and theres a lot of guides, but if ur starting out then i would recommend just to play through like 5 games all the way until 1936 or u get conquered, then go to the guides. ik its a run on sentence but the game is good, so i would recommend to play it
It was probably a new and novel game for its time, but completely pales in all regards to victoria 3.
This allows for the dream of colonial empires that never were. Modding is great as well.
great game i like it better than EU4

Make Prussia Great Again!
Early Meiji Basedtoration
paradox how hard is it to add a workshop to this game.....
Better then Victoria 3
Buggy, takes three times to open/start the game, impossible to understand how it works in the background at a 100%, Still better than Victoria 3. GG.
game good. play game. game fight back. tagswitch. game break. think about game. regret.
Having played Victoria 3 before this, it's really interesting to see the "DNA" of this game that went into its successor. There's a lot more to enjoy here in some regards, but one thing Victoria 3 does better is giving you information. For example, it's a lot easier to see how to move through forms of government in V3 though its elaborate tooltips -- here in V2, a lot more information is hidden, harder to find, or unexplained outside of the manual. For lack of a manual on my desk, I even had to look up what combat stats like "support" are doing on the wiki. (nb, the game does come with a PDF manual, which can be found on the store page and in the game's installed files)
Speaking of combat, the combat system seems a little less sophisticated than EU4, one of the other historic Paradox titles I'm used to. This is a maybe a good thing, but I did kind of find it funny that the AI was only ever going to circle the Ivory Coast to land on exactly the closest tile to its homeland, over and over. It made setting up a defensive stack as Sokoto and just wiping out wave after wave of Danish troops pretty straightforward. I managed to hold on for surprisingly long at 31 infamy until I was at war with both Spain & Italy at the same time, when I decided that history had run its course for my little broke nation and quit my save.
Anyway, do NOT go over 25 infamy, do not trust laissez-faire as a tertiary power, and DO have fun!
i finished the game in 5 hours 5/5
ignore the playing time. i have been playing this game for 4 years on a disc and ive only bought it now LMAO but this game is very good. the best game paradox has made. just get HOD and AHD and you're good. mods help the experience vastly aswell
There are a lot of positive things about this game. However, the biggest minus is that the game is interesting only if one plays as a superpower. For small countries, there is not much to do, they are only spectators.
4 hour map bust challange complete
Don't waste your money another paradox game that needs the DLCs to work.
Uno de los juegos más interesantes e increíbles que he podido jugar, si le metes mods es muchísimo más interesante, le recomiendo a aquel que quiera disfrutar aún más meterle mods, es fácil y hay tutos en Youtube
When i first played this game, i didnt play vanilla i played with GFM and HPM and others. The game was so buggy it crashed every 3&1/2minutes and the farther i got in the game the shorter that time was.
I played vanilla and realized it was one of the worst things ive ever played
This game also gave me a pop up when i first opened it saying "You need software you dont have to run this"
10/10 would play again
Like most paradox games its either for you or not at all, i can see where the appeal is though i could never get the hang of it as it's too convoluted.
You can gas the french.
10/10
Trash. If you want to play this, you must have all DLCs because the mods and many crucial features arent in the base game. This trash It always bugs, especially with ships disappearing. Sometimes I'm not at war with anyone, but just because I've put a bunch of troops on several cargo ships (WITH CAPITAL BATTLE SHIPS!) the game decides they're going to disappear halfway, never reaching their destination. No pop-up appeared saying that there had been a battle or that they had died, which is impressive because this happened about 3 times in less than an hour, and it was so bad that I lost several won wars thanks to this, because I had the opportunity to win, but the troops never arrived for me to declare war with an advantage. Now, apart from that, the game has too many pop ups, it's impossible to have peace, every hour even in war the game will play more than 10 pop ups a minute, AND IT'S NO JOKE!!! You can't play micro because every time there's a pop up that gets in your way, even sometimes to pause time! As if that weren't enough, it's practically impossible to play Uk without having anarchist revolts all over your country, because even if you support the liberals, the game will fill you with pop ups giving debuffs and militancy, non-stop.
Game crashes on boot unless you disable SAM and Resizable Bar. This just shouldn't be an issue.
