Monster Lab Simulator

As much as I wanted to love this game, and even with how cute some of the fulus are, I just can't recommend it.

Selling fulus almost always comes out to a loss compared to what you spent to make them, making profit near impossible. That, paired with having to grind and hopefully get lucky with the slot machine, makes the gameplay loop rather bland. I love a good grindy game now and then, but only when there's more of a reward or challenge, not just buying eggs, hatching, then selling at a loss.

making money is next to impossible unless you get very very lucky with RNG. if you played the demo and enjoyed it the game isnt like that anymore.

It is a fun game, for the most part. But as of right now, I cannot recommend it, unfortunately. The money and XP systems need reworked in the worst way. You're supposed to 'breed' higher quality Fulus and sell them for money but it's really difficult to actually get enough money to do that. I got supremely lucky and managed to hit the $10,000 jackpot on the slot machine so that helped a bit, but money runs out super fast when you're trying to get enough eggs to merge into higher level Fulus. The battle arena is fun but you only get $40 for winning. WTF is up with that! The only good thing about battles are getting the tickets for the slot machine...if you manage to win.
Also, it takes FOREVER to level up in this game. I've been playing for nearly 8 hours thus far and haven't been able to unlock Nature essence yet.
I was really excited for this game, but am a bit disappointed. I will change my review later if things get reworked.

The concept is awesome and I have been counting down on the days for the game to come out love it. But I have to agree with most of the comments when it comes to money, you have to wait a loooong time so you can sell your monster for over 100 bucks. Since that is how much if the minimum to create one and if you are not paying attention you can get yourself locked. The daily quests are a big help in making money if you are pacing yourself and keep some money aside in case you need them. all in all great job, can't wait to see the next updates and added features.

The curent economy of the game is extremely unbalanced. Curently if you sell a common Fulu, You will almost always be selling at a loss relative to what You spent to make the Fulu in the first place. Example, if You purchase all the necessary materals to make a level 1 common Fulu, it costs $102 to create the Fulu, and orb it for sale, but you typically get offers to buy said Fulu for usually $98, so I don't see why you would make more Fulus to sell, if you are almost always selling at a loss. I cannot justify telling anyone to buy this game in it's current state. If the game developers make the Fulus sell for about 20% more I could justify it, as then the money management part would be only chalenging instead of litterally impossible like it is now.

Game was fun until I ran out of money and couldn't progress. Game has no way to earn more money than you spend with the current balancing.

This is a fun little game that doesn't have too much waiting time. the creatures are neat, with both cute, and cool designs. the game has a bit to do if you're looking at getting all of the creatures to their max forms. the roadmap looks promising for future content. i'm excited to see this game evolve.

This game could be fun... if it wasn't completely broken. I played for hours and then found out i can't save. This was after finding out i couldn't battle, which meant i couldn't progress because the tutorial requires me to battle...so yeah... broken so bad its almost funny.

That was incredible experience for 3 USD, everyone must try that especially interest in the games like Palworld, Pokemon, Digimon.

With commercial aspects of this game also give you different tastes.

You can evolve, fight and lots of the things with monsters. Highly recommended!

I recommend this game, just maybe not as it is right now. Its entirely un-balanced. The economy needs to allow for more profit. You can VERY EASILY soft lock yourself into not having enough money to do anything and need to restart.

You start the game with only neutral and fire type creatures. Having literally zero variety makes the beginning grind become an absolute battle of attrition and patience. Just let players have access to other types.

FOR THE LOVE OF JEBUS THE DEVS IMPLEMENTED AN INVENTORY SYSTEM BUT YOU CANT USE IT! LET ME HAVE AN INVENTORY!! Thats such a basic concept. Why is there no inventory.

Battling was just a failure for me. You can only make fire type creatures in the beginning. Level 1 fire creatures. Imagin my surprise when I spent $300 re-rolling my battle opponents because they were all teams of level 2 and level WATER creatures. Every team was level 2 or 3 creatures and had at least 1 water creature....while I'm forced to use level 1 fire. Even the DEMO let us make a variety of creatures. What the hell is this??

ONLY common eggs with a 100% common rate. So anything past common rarity is like finding a diamond encrusted gold bar. Entirely stupid mechanic. If I can buy a common egg specifically, then common eggs shouldn't be an option when opening a piece of Amber. Amber should rare and higher only.


All in all this is Early Access. So with that said, I'm gonna give this a 6.5/10, though there is potential.

Battle mechanics don't take new, weaker players into account.

Beginning game is incredibly slow. Lacks variety causing issue with battling.

Common eggs should be 90% common chance 10% uncommon chance. Amber should 60% uncommon, 20% rare, 15% epic, 5% legendary.

GIVE PLAYERS A DANG INVENTORY. Let us buy a trash can so we dont have to run to the incinerator 10000000000 times.

And I'm taking away for having literal gotcha gambling mechanics with a literal slot machine.

the game is fun and chill. there is battle and merge mechanics. It's deff worth to try out for just 3 USD.

This is a very cute game, a little slow burn, but it's not too bad. Money is hard to keep since you're constantly buying eggs, amber, and essences. The battles need a little tweaking, but not bad. All in all, it's a cute game.

In the games current state, I can't fully recommend this game at all. The game isn't ready for release.
It should also be called going broke simulator since it's near impossible to make money. You have a better chance of being richer in the game Brokeville than this game. Quality issues during windows mode. Radio ignoring sound settings, just chuck it in the fire and use spotify. The game right now is probably worth 7 bucks before a sale.

The story genuinely makes me curious about where things are heading. It’s not just about building systems and progressing — there’s a strong sense of discovery in the background that keeps you engaged. I’ll keep playing to see where this curiosity leads.

I tried the game as soon as it launched and found it much more enjoyable than I expected. The mechanics feel smooth, the lab management loop is surprisingly addictive, and the creature creation system is very satisfying. Experimenting with different combinations feels rewarding, and every new result feels like a small discovery.

If you enjoy simulation and management games, this is definitely worth trying. The atmosphere, sense of progression, and gameplay loop are all well done. I’ll definitely keep playing.

this game is fun and appropriate for kids and a wonderful creative game for all ages up to like 50 i think this is a fun game please consider playing this game cause why not its fun, creative, you can make cute animals/monsters, and ECT

Mixing essences, tossing around and destroying lab equipment with fire, extinguishing fires (and cute creatures)... just your average everyday scientist stuff.

Highly recommended. Give it a chance. I’m sure it will grow on you.

I've spend an hour. No bugs, no issues. Works flawlessly. Quite nice visuals and smooth gameplay. There's so much to try and explore. It looks like pretty rich content.

I played Monster Lab Simulator for hours and honestly didn’t expect it to be this enjoyable. The monster creation and experiment system is simple to learn but still feels rewarding as you progress.

I like how the game lets you try different combinations and see real results. It doesn’t feel rushed, and you can play at your own pace. The atmosphere fits the theme well, and the controls are smooth.

If you enjoy simulation games where you can experiment and build things step by step, this game is definitely worth trying.

The game crashes every time I try to go into visual settings. (Need to turn off that motion blur)
Having said that, Im sure it will get fixed pretty soon.
The prolouge was great and the gameplay in the full game should provide even more features.
