This game is fun with friends for a few hours, but the cracks start to show extremely quickly. The core gameplay loop ends up being extremely repetitive, and doesn't feel like there's meaningful evolution. I respect the attempt, and hope the dev keeps up the work.

Was the 10mil achievement an absolute hellscape? Yes. Did it deter me or steal any earnest enjoyment from the game? Not really. Am I gonna keep asking questions and answering them myself? Maybe... All jokes aside, this little gem of a game was such a breath of fresh air to play. And this is coming from someone who has been in a pretty dry gaming spell the past few years due to focusing on my sobriety- safe to say, i'm finally getting back into my hobbies & schedule 1 was the perfect game for it! I don't know if it was the nostalgic vibe I got from the graphics and speeding around town on my skateboard like I did back in the skate 3 days. But the gameplay loop itself is pretty addictive and easy to get sucked into. 130+ hours and I thoroughly enjoyed selling hot ass to a town full of gooners. 10/10, Tyler my guy, you're a legend. <3

Really really good and addicting game, it's the kind of game I wished Cartel Tycoon to be. Promising, and I really hope it expands upon lacking features.

It's not finished in terms of story and expanding on the prologue. There's also space for improvement on inventory management, letting us have backpacks and more dealers to make the game require less micromanagement when you get to the endgame. You'd be a shot caller by then with millions, why the heck would you still walking around town dealing product?

Would also like to see more expansion on weapons and gang warfare, I honestly haven't enjoyed a crime sim game like this since San Andreas despite the difference in scale and production budget.

All in all, can't wait for the game to be in its finished state, fun as it is with friends.

It was fun until you realize how repetitive the gameplay is. You start with weed, grow it, fertilize it, get better dirt for better quality plants. you spend all your time and money trying to get the best weed strain, you can buy additives to mix in and make different strains. You sell to people around town, but quickly realize that the better quality weed mix you worked tirelessly for is for nothing. rinse and repeat for meth and cocaine. The helpers are being worked on but honestly was easier to just do everything myself and give the product to the dealers to sell. Once I bought the biggest building my interest fizzled out. Cars are pointless, skateboard is fun, but makes cars obsolete. Unless you carry a bunch of product, but the cops will stop any vehicle they see after dark. Its pretty easy to avoid getting caught, the town is small and doesn't change. everyone has a set schedule they do every day. I see they are going to add in some new stuff, but unless the gameplay changes I don't see me revisiting it.

Schedule 1 is the most relaxed drug empire game I’ve played. My character traverse around town, launders money at the laundromat, and quietly tends his plants in a small room above a Chinese restaurant. It gets better when played with a friend on online coop multiplayer mode.

In this game, you grow weed, cook meth, and get cocaine. You can even mix strange ingredients like horse semen and gasoline—don’t worry, it’s just a game! Many games have tried to capture the drug-dealing life since Breaking Bad, and Schedule 1 is the best so far.

The game has great vibes—the sunrises look amazing and the music is chill.

You can grow your empire with warehouses and workers, The game doesn’t glamorize drugs—it’s goofy and fun.

You can throw trash around places, and the cops mostly ignore you unless you get caught with a lot of jars. You can buy cars and houses or just skate around town wearing cool sunglasses. You can also spend hours gambling in the casino.

Playing with friends can get chaotic—sometimes you end up beating customers or crashing cars—but it makes growing your empire easier. Still, the best part isn’t rushing to be the biggest drug lord—it’s taking your time and enjoying the game.

Schedule 1 is still new, and the developer has plans to add more, like rival gangs and production lines. I hope they add fun stuff too—maybe golf, karaoke, etc, Until then, it is enjoyable at its current state.

Absolute Masterpiece. My 1st game on steam and did not disappoint. Feeling like Walter White and my friend feeling like Jessie Pinkman got us hyped, if you have friends, gift them a copy and have a blast. The only thing I wish it had was more frequent updates, but I can't ask that of Tyler, he's currently a one man band. Overall fantastic game, must cop and must play.

Sadly I don’t think this is a £16.75 game yet … maybe With time. The progression just hits a wall a bit too early and then the game lacks purpose. Theres only so much dealing you can do before losing interest.

A nice, fun and promising game, even at this stage of development. Co-op works well, though you cannot yet connect to your friends directly at any moment.

Half of the "missing" features and QoL may be added by installing a good mod pack (e.g. Rescheduled @ NexusMods), but you gotta wait for the other half, early access is still early access.

Lowkey very well thought out for early access. The casino card tables actually keep track of an actual deck of cards to work through which is greatly tougher to program than just choosing a random card every time (and barely anyone in the playerbase would notice the difference). Also a deliberate player edge in all the casino games so you win money. Drunk driving and gambling representation comes first

This game is pretty massive rn. the pc quility u need is low. The graphics are so sharp they gave me a taper. I dont think this game will ever fade.

I really don't want to put out a negative review but I have refused to touch this game for the last two months because it has become buggier and buggier. I will be checking back in another month to see if TVGS has fixed the FPS issues, and CONSTANT connection issues for anyone who isn't the host which ends up costing a lot of money because it won't save another players inventory.

Schedule 1 is absolutely worth the price. This game shows that graphics aren't all there is for a great game. The micro manager in you will adore this, absolutely captivating and well put together. I would love to see more drug types and properties to be put in the game, but for a game made by 1 man in early access? This is GREAT! I have only encountered small bugs so far but it is fully expected with an early access game. This game is honestly so much fun and even better with friends. I probably have 5+ hours on the demo alone. Genuinely worth the money, I highly recommend this game.

I've seen videos on YouTube about this game for a while. I picked it up for both a friend and myself. The goal of this game is simple, grow the basic stuff first so you can get the money to buy more types of seeds, ingredients and the tools to improve the quality of your products. It's a good bit of fun to just experiment with ingredients and see what they do. You can either just do one ingredient or several and watch either yourself, your friend, or your customers take on the various effects of your products good or bad. The names of every mixture you make are randomly generated and absolutely hilarious. If you choose to you can slightly change the name of it if you have a joke in mind. One of the first products I made was simple. It was just "Cuke" mixed with OG Kush and I got to name it "Slap Monkey". It's one of my best sellers. As I was throwing a good FEW ingredients together to see what happens, I made one strain of OG Kush that mentioned something about high calories, "Gingeritis", made them stealthy, and some other effect that I can't remember from the top of my head. Thus, it was named the "Fat Stealthy Ginger" strain, also a good seller. As you go mixing either new strains or existing strains you eventually make them more and more addictive and eventually "Slap Monkey" evolved into "Commando Monkey" with addiction at 100%. I was proud of that one. Just before my friend and I logged off the game we got to save enough money from selling anything and everything we made to buy the Bungalow and eventually we'll be able to ramp up production big time the next time we log on. I love it's "Rick and Morty" like art style for the characters and for me personally, it's very entertaining to give voices to the characters when reading out their dialogue. I highly recommend this game. You'll get lost in it for a good while whether your feverishly picking up garbage from the streets in the beginning or once you've gotten a few mixtures created, making people burn while puking or something else whacky after they've tried your latest products. It's just good, stupid fun and it makes me laugh a good bit. Chef's kiss!

Basically GTA Online biker businesses except you actually get to partake in the fun parts of the process and also automate the whole process in the end as well.
A lot of grinding but it's the good kind of grinding. There's always something to do. Water the plants, set up deals, buy supplies, manage workers, mix product, harvest product, pay workers, unlock new stuff, sell product, evade cops, more supplies..... it never ends.

Definite recommend. This game isn't even in full release yet but offers a lot already. Run drug production operations throughout an open world and manage resources along with conduct trades for big sales. Create and name your own stuff, mix and cut your stuff with all kinds of stuff for different effects, the options span on. With even cooperative play, you can bring in a few friends to help run your drug ring.

Best part of all though is for such a good drug dealer/crime game, it doesn't take itself seriously. Its ridiculous, with certain elements within the game that can be outright unpredictable or downright silly. Afflict your customers with side effects that turn their skin color green or warp their body in all kinds of ways aside from getting wasted by your own stuff too should you decide to try it out. If you like cooking and business management games with a wild open world crime sandbox then this is a definite buy.

I really do like the game and I'd really like to give a positive review but I can't as long as the save games break and go corrupt. Please fix it. It is always the same error: at some point of the game or because something went wrong while saving (Steam cloud?) it just bugs out. There's a few LED lights floating abough the canal which should be in the barn and I can't connect to the hosted game anymore. It has now been the 3rd save game where me and other friends were experiencing the same issues (different hosts). Will defo change review when there is a fix since it's actually a really good and enjoyable game!

Reviewed as of 5/10/25. This is a surprisingly charming little game with a certain minimalistic elegance. I usually don't like drugs or simulation games but this was surprisingly fun. For 5-10 bucks I would totally recommend it, but 20 bucks is a bit much to ask for considering the hollow, incomplete state this game is currently in. Eventually you just find yourself repeating the same steps you have done all game long, just on a bigger scale min-maxing, automating, logistics-ing... there is a lot of artificial grindiness in this game where you have to wait for your laundering to finish, wait for products to cook or mix, wait for customers to request new drugs or your dealers to sell everything etc. The EXP system that limits you from unlocking new regions is also pretty grindy. I have gotten to the docks and unlocked cocaine which has you waiting more than ever before and I just can't bring myself to care anymore at this point I'm just doing the same thing over and over again and I'm tired of it. This game badly needs fun new mechanics that keep it interesting, and less grindiness so you don't have to spend forever to finish the game.

Refreshing and addicting game to play.

Pretty fun game about the high level aspect of growing, distributing and selling illicilit goods. A lot of fun with friends, is fairly bug free for the most part, and is pretty fun. Gets a little repetitive after a while but get some friends in to liven it back up again.

I am a 34 year old mother who SELDOM even drinks, and I am ADDICTED to this game and building my empire. This game is a wonderful balance between relaxing and stressful. The little Easter eggs and graffiti around town are hilarious and a very fun little touch. The customization and personal effects that can be added to cars and houses is an absolute bonus. Excellent game! Don't do drugs kids, or you'll end up like Jessi!

Though I enjoyed my time with the game, and 40+ hours for the current price is worth it, you will eventually hit a point where you realize the game has no real purpose.
The game revolves around buying raw materials to craft drugs which you can then sell direct to customers or through dealers. Outside of ingredients, the game offers purchases of properties and vehicles.
Vehicles are worthless other than the van (large storage space). That is because the streets are tight making it hard to drive, vehicles are really slow, roads have road blocks at certain times, and the game has a golden skateboard which is cheap and allows by far the fastest, most effective mode of transportation.
Properties come in two types, laundering and living (which is used to create product). It doesn't take long to buy all the laundering locations and the Barn (living) has plenty of space to automate to the point where you will have more product than your dealers could possible sell.
At this point I was running into town to buy ingredients to keep my automation running, resupplying dealers, and laundering cash. It was at this point where I asked why? What is the point of making hundreds of thousands of dollars when there is nothing to buy? Vehicles suck, don't want any of them. I have all the laundering sites. don't need them. The Barn has more than enough space to automate the creation of a ton of drugs, so much so that I had storage shelves full of drugs.
That is when the game became pointless and I lost interest.
This has always been a huge problem for early access games, there is no definitive ending. or final goal. The game "ends" when you realize there is no challenge left to conquer and that you are just wasting time. Though 40 hours is a lot of time having fun, I can't help but feel let down by another EA title that doesn't have a larger objective. I would say give the game 2-3 years more to see if more meat is added to the bone.

This is a great game to play, cant wait for the new upcoming updates. Gets repetitive towards the end but hopefully the updates will make it better.

What makes this game great is that it has a sense of humor that makes more than just a fun game to play, but also entertaining. Early access is a pretty good amount of content (60 hours or so). Not your average drug dealer simulator. Its as if you took one of those old Armor Games style stick figure game and make it a drug dealer simulator, and 3D. It's worth a play 8.9/10

This is the best Drug dealing game I played ever. Nothing will be this good in this gray area of gaming. The Dev is a solo Dev and is making great updates soon to this game! Updates So good that it makes AAA Devs Mad. There a lot of BIG BIG BIG Updates coming really soon. 10/10! I hope this dev will make another game like this. Very Rare Type of game.

Edit: After playing quite a while, I'm editing this because I do think it's fair to give this game a proper review and not just a meme one.

This game is honestly so much fun and completely worthy of a 'just one more day' title. The amount of 'one more days' I'd do before going to bed is pretty ridiculous. It's currently in early access but there is a lot to do and the game can keep you busy for quite a few hours, and looking at the road map, there are plenty of fun updates and additions to come.

I wasn't a huge fan of the art style at first but it definitely grows on you and now I adore it. It's charming in its own little way and I find it quite humorous the way that the characters kind of talk.

The only downside is there are some bugs (my workers have just randomly stopped working or got stuck in place for example. Always fixes next day), but so far nothing game breaking. It's still really early access so this is pretty much a nit pick. I'm sure this is something that will be fixed. For an EA title that's only been out for just over a month, this is still a lot more polished than most games in EA!

Huge respect to the developer of this game. It's amazing that this came from a one man team and I wish him nothing but success! Schedule I is great!

Incredible game, but there's a glaring issue. In the late game when you start having a lot of employees, something with their code causes the game to stutter roughly every second. It's very noticeable when skateboarding but it's very consistent and really hinders gameplay. When you fire all the employees it goes away immediately so it's something with their pathing.

I love this game a ton but I can't keep playing/growing with this problem currently. I hope it gets patched soon.

It's a great game. I hope the developers will not abandon it and will continue to work on it. There are several ways to make the game better. I would like them to add more complex police, new mechanics, an expanded map, new drugs, and new properties. They could also make the NPCs smarter and a more challenging game.

Developers like this deserve all the success they get.
This isn't a game I'd usually play, but thanks to some persuasion from a few friends I decided to grab it & I'm glad I did.

It's a fun, quirky game that you can easily lose track of time to.
The names that you can come up with, or even the automatically generated names for the drugs themselves when created, is incredibly amusing. Even a few of the NPC names are funny.

However, there's a few things that I noticed that needs to be fixed.
A small handful of world collision glitches & the map incorrectly displaying owned vehicle locations. Haven't noticed too many problems which is a nice surprise, considering it's in Early Access.

Other things need to be improved upon, like the formula to create a certain strain of drug. They could do with simplifying things, instead of me having to reverse engineer how I made Drug X by going all the way back to see how I made Drug G & onward.
Hyland Park feels a little empty. You have weapons, (Guns / Melee) but nobody to fight with, aside from the cops when they try to arrest you or your occasional rowdy customer.

Also, not that it needs to be proven, but it shows you don't need a Triple A budget, a big team of developers or realistic graphics to do well (although I'm sure all those things help).
Simply care about your game & make it fun. It's something larger studios need to take note of. Keep up the good work TGVS.

Even in Early Access, this game is great fun. Enjoyable solo & a blast with friends. (Yourself & up to 3 others).

Game was amusing until hitting the bug that causes you to loose in game data with no way to recover unless you have a local backup of the save folders..

Saved a game, game crashed. When I came back almost every property was completely empty, all the employees were gone. Was no longer able to text the seed or pseudo dealer after...

Would recommend to anyone before a critical game breaking bug like this occurs, seems I am not the only one either.. :( Uninstalled, I will never get these 69 hours back lol

Graphics do not matter! The game is a golden nugget!
Majority of game studios have a huge team of devs, that cannot create game this good.

The production value? Solid. The progression? Smooth as hell. You’re on your own to figure things out, but your uncle drops the hints along the way without ever making it obvious

This isn’t just a game about “stuff” (you know what I mean), it’s about hustle, chaos, and building an actual business empire from the ground up… even if it’s, well, slightly illegal

One of my favourite games at the moment, haven't encountered a single bug and it runs really well, I'd very much like to see more expansion on ingredients and drugs (ie gummy bears to make edibles, LCD/nicotine). 10/10

Did I enjoy the first couple of hours of this game? Yes.

Do I recommend it now? No. Not at all.

The game is new and fun at first, but after a few hours, you realize it's very shallow. You end up doing the same things over and over again—repetitive, chore-like tasks that quickly become boring.

Maybe in the future, after many updates (fixing the AI, adding more depth and complexity, making the game more challenging, and so on), it could become something much better.

And of course, Polish prices are somehow the highest in the world. I really hope the dev adjusts them to better match the PL market.

Schedule 1 is proof that games should, above all else, be games. Not lecture halls. Not propaganda machines. Just pure, chaotic fun. It’s weird, it’s hilarious, and it’s refreshingly self-aware in all the right ways.

I don't even have to sink the 500 minimum hours I usually attempt to do before reviewing to say this one's it. Can you believe it? A game that doesn't insult your time or intelligence as you play it? A fulfilling, and sometimes hilarious play loop depending on how serious or goofball you want to play it, which only gets better if you play it with friends. A game which honestly shows the love, care and effort being put into developing a game, and amazingly, all being done by ONE guy. This game alone gives me hope for the gaming industry's future.

People often wonder, sometimes ask, what does the game industry need? It's games like this. No, not a drug tycoon craft-sim, specifically, but a game that shows what happens when you have a dev that's actually in-tune with its audience, while drawing a much larger one in the process. This game could be lightning in a bottle, but as it stands right now, this game has thunderstruck many with its wonderment.

What tf is this game! A freaking drug dealing simulator is more fun than games that costs tens of millions of dollars. Good job to whoever made this!

It's quite impressive that only one guy developed this game. The gameplay loop is addicting and the goofy atmosphere and characters makes it even better. Prepare for a bunch of random jumpscares once your customers addiction levels go through the roof. Mixing drugs with all sorts of stuff can give you superpowers like super jump, faster movement speed or you could end up with something that turns people into ticking time bombs.
Also, the soundtrack in this game is just amazing, I could listen to it for weeks nonstop.

I 100% recommend this game, worth every penny.

I can't remember the last time I would be in a hurry to get home after work/school just to play a game. I literally cannot stop playing once I start.

This will go down as one of the greatest indie games of all time.

Genuinely amazing game. The creator should be incredibly proud.

Schedule I, really tickled my fancy. It just looked like it would be a bunch of fun, just lie back and chill out.
And I was 100% correct! It is an absolute bundle of fun. Highly recommended.

POSITIVES:

• 40+ hours of gameplay easily (I'm 20hrs in, and I haven't started producing a second drug type yet. I can see me playing around 60hrs, then taking a break for a few months until they have been a few more content updates)
  
• Super addictive gameplay (The irony)
  
• Fantastic mechanics, very well thought out and balanced. Huge number of possible recipes, different ways of running things - do it yourself to maximize profit or hire a team of workers and dealers do everything for you, balance of the two.
  
• Very funny moments, characters, and little Easter eggs (You can put Horse j!zz on your weed, who doesn't love that lol)
  
• Modding: there are already a few hundred mods available, and it's drag & drop, super easy.
  
• It runs well, no crashes or game-breaking bugs so far. Although a bit heavier on performance than I expected.
  
• Being in early access means there are frequent updates. Since I first saw this game a few months ago, there has already been so much more added.
  

NEGATIVES:

• It is very easy. The police are more of a slight inconvenience.
  
• Optimization issues. For a cartoon-style game, it's using 12GB of VRAM and 70-99% GPU usage on an RTX 3090, and I have the framerate capped at 120. It's using the same resources as GTA V!
  
• Definitely some pop-in issues. Even when you're just sprinting, there is some occasional nasty pop-in, much worse when you're traveling faster on a skateboard or vehicle
  
• Bug/Exploitable mechanic: You can do drug deals right in front of police officers just as long as you face away from them. If you turn away from them, they stop rendering (Occlusion Culling). So because they disappear, the script for them detecting you disappears, meaning you can walk in front of them at night or do a drug deal in front of their nose just as long as you face away from them.
  

SUGGESTIONS:
Things I would like to see are all based around the game being very easy IMO, I don't want it to be Dark Souls, but the fact my 8-year-old niece is playing this with no issues and still hasn't been arrested tells me it's too easy. So I would like to see a difficulty option, like a "Hardcore mode" that adds:

Simple things like increasing the prices of vehicles and properties so it takes longer to achieve them and makes them feel more of a long-term goal. I already had enough money for all of the properties within the first couple of days of playing.

Customers being more picky or harder to negotiate with. At the moment you can upsell everyone massively.

A hardcore mode should make the police more abundant, more foot/car patrols, pursue you for longer, call in backup, and spot you faster. (There are a couple of mods that do this already but they are a bit buggy)

Variable yields from crops and cooks; instead of a guaranteed quantity, it varies with a higher percentage chance of lower yields and lower percentage chance of getting higher yields.

This might already be in the game, and I just haven't encountered it yet (No spoilers please) but the occasional mugger or rival trying to hold you up to steal cash/drugs. Or even trying to raid your property to steal a bunch of resources.

And of course, obvious ones like just expanding the map, adding new drug types, new components to mix, and new properties.

[*]I would love to see being able to create your own drug. A completely new and custom drug type is created by cooking lots of different chemicals and using different methods, so you end up with an inhaler that is like a cross between crack and ecstasy with a bit of bath salts mixed in.

I can see this game going gangbusters and having 10 times as much content in a year or two, I certainly hope so as there is so much potential to expand this even more. I can't wait to see what future updates bring.
