Spoiler WARNING:
Starting the game in the basement was a great choice. It immediately set a tense atmosphere with the darkness and the unsettling sound of a baby crying. The Zippo lighter, with its inconsistent flame, was a nice touch that added to the feeling of unease.
However, the baby creature that was revealed later felt a bit underwhelming, as it’s a character commonly seen in many horror games. It would be great to see more originality in the design or concept of the creature to make it stand out more.
While I appreciate the use of mannequins as a tool for jump scares, they’ve become quite overused in the horror genre. It might be worth considering exploring alternative ways to create tension or fear without relying so heavily on them.
The puzzles, especially the first one, were a bit unclear in terms of how they fit into the overall story. There were many moments where tasks felt disconnected from the narrative, and it was hard to understand their relevance. In future updates, it would be helpful if puzzles were more integrated into the story, giving players a sense of purpose beyond just progressing through the game.
Speaking of the story, it felt somewhat disjointed. While the notes hint at a ghostly presence, there wasn’t enough of a cohesive plot to keep the player engaged. Adding more context or narrative elements could really elevate the experience, making the player feel more invested in the journey. It might also help to establish clearer connections between the events in the game and the notes scattered throughout, so players can better understand the plot and the motivations behind the creepy occurrences.
Some game mechanics were a bit puzzling, such as being able to saw through chains with a bone saw but not being able to cut through rope with the same tool. This inconsistency in interaction options can break immersion, so a bit more logic in the item usage would be beneficial.
Although I enjoyed the controls and didn’t experience any glitches, the overall pacing felt slow toward the end, especially when searching for the code to open the safe. The tasks seemed to drag on, and I found myself losing interest. A more engaging climax or a better payoff for completing the game would have kept me invested until the end.
I’d recommend that the developer take some time to refine the story and ensure that the puzzles and events contribute meaningfully to the overall experience. Crafting a stronger narrative, maybe with a unique and original story -line could really make this game stand out in a crowded genre. If the developer can improve on these aspects, I believe they have a lot of potential to create a truly memorable horror experience.
Overall, I see the potential here but feel that the execution could be improved. I’d give it a D+, but I look forward to seeing how this developer evolves and hope they take these suggestions into account for future projects.

Game is ridiculously short. Options to jump, run, and equip 3-5 do not exist. Though it is creepy at some parts, but overall not worth the $4.
good game. very scary. could not figure out how to leave the basement for like 40 minutes. 10/10. hated being trapped.
Loved the game, of course it wasn't super spectacular but overall I had fun. Since im easily scared the atmosphere did creep me out and the jump scares did catch me off guard a bit so I can't complain
there is a lot of fundamental flaw / bug.
1. the puzzle where you need to find 4 numbers to progress, there is two 7 B clue, 9 C was easy to find, but 3 D was too hard to notice due to the lighter's light reflection and the A clue was not even in the game, the developer made a mistake and placed two 7 B clues.
2. the translation was so bad that it was misleading at the part where it says to put in fuses when you mouse over the coffin, but it was actually body parts you need to put in.
3. the generator's turn on button was kind of overlapping with the refuel generator button that it was hard to notice the turn on button
4. the whole game had no guide so the first pressure plate puzzle was confusing, the pressure plate asset also broke the immersion a lot
5. the VHS filter looks was too much, the whole game was hard to see and a bit of a pain in the eye
6. the story is very irrelevant to the puzzle clues, its like playing a crappy puzzle game that copied "april 24th" and just reading a weird horror story along the way
A walking simulator that starts with a tense atmosphere that quickly disappears as you play the world's most obtuse puzzles while in zero danger
Def a creepy little game! Love the style! There were a few glitches here and there, but not too bad!
IM STUCK IN TOILET.
PLEASE SEND HELP.
Not a terrible game, but certainly not a good game either. Given the absolute deplorable horror games on Steam in recent times-- this game didn't crash or have any bugs that I noticed-- so I'll give it a pass. It's a REAL low bar to beat to get a pass these days it seems.
It uses the same game maker template that SOOO MANY other horror games use. Same UI, same inventory, same onscreen text and item descriptions, just with a different font. A couple puzzles that needed a code and were just brute forced because it was easier. Just over an hour of game time and that was with a lot of chatting and not paying attention.
great game i liked it we need more please
It was a reaaaaly good game. Short, my heart is weaker now, but it was worth it! You don't have clear instruction but SPOILERS!! the mannequins and the sound effects lead you in the right direction. No bugs, only mice and mannequins. If you need hints: https://youtu.be/f4Hk-4tsGAs
