Rhythia is a game in which you aim and hit musical beats with precision. You will be targeting blocks, mastering timing, building combos, perfecting your accuracy and climbing leaderboards.
In the beginning you will find yourself learning the 3x3 grid layout, aiming at individual blocks and building basic combos by hand, but in short time you can become a rhythm master, with flawless accuracy, perfect timing and seamless aim transitions, all for those satisfying perfect scores. This intense focus on precision and timing rewards dedicated practice, so you will need to develop your aim and musical reflexes to achieve mastery.

Rhythia offers players unlimited customization of the game - to the smallest detail of gameplay, game interface and elements. It comes bundled with existing shapes, models and presets for you to choose from, and build your own experience.

fun game , if youre upset over it being 4 bucks tell me youre broke... do not listen to the negative reviews . apparently theyre all from a discord from one of the og devs blah blah drama . the game is fun and worth 4 bucks
Found out this wasn't the official client after playing for 2.3 hours.
You are able to get the official client for free here https://discord.gg/rhythia
I’ve been playing a free version of this, Rhythia , so for me the Steam price just doesn’t make sense. If you prefer having it on Steam, that’s fine. Personally I recommend trying the free version first. You can check it out here and decide for yourself: https://discord.gg/rhythia
I feel like the other comments do it justice, it's kind of fun but in a flash free to play game kind of way that I can get out of osu! for free.
Minus the situation from the different dev teams and review bombing of the enthusiasts from the offline version of the game, the Rhythia steam release is definitely still a successful and faithful reproduction of the first draft of the game, Blox Saber or Sound Space whatever name you wanna ♥♥♥♥♥ about. The decision to put this game behind a paywall isn't too controversial (Its like 6 AUD son) and similar features that the standalone game first blew up with such as advanced personalisation and custom songs are included in this version aswell. Having spent a good amount of hours in all three versions of the game, actually im not sure if 10 hours on release is a good amount of hours, I think I can confidently say this version of Rhythia is definitely the strongest and could become a popular competitor in rhythm gaming very soon.
Im Mix in my Op here
1. The Original game is Free, for the price tags is not big of a deal i can see it many ppl are not like for it so i don mind it
2. Idk about the copyright yet im just thinking since you can export file into game and get the song so.... meh??
3. i would love enjoy game yet, im just let it in future to decide which path the game go (psss..maybe add a background video like Phoenyx would be fun)
4. im just... refund game and wait for the full release come out :p save sum money for my food B)
5. Would Rec for those who just want a fun exp YET i said there a free version so meh
6. ALSO i read other comment i see alot of Valid Point out there so im just join them :p
Have a gud day fella
I actually like it alot! it kinda works like soundspace and i played better then usual lol anyways i might play this alot on steam now than the normal rhythia
i was gonna give this a good review until i checked the other reviews. from that i found that this game was stolen, maybe used ai, and theres an older version thats just as good. i also joined the original makers discord server to check if this is true and it is infact true. go support the real creators https://discord.gg/rhythia
This game branched off from the original Rhythia. I won't say that they're stealing anything, but they should definitely pick a new name. As someone with 600 hours on Rhythia, this game is okay, I like some features better than the original, some less. If you want to try out the game, try the original first. I dislike that you need to link to your discord to create an account to just play online maps. Currently, for 4 dollars, I would just say play the original. (Unrelated: I joined the discord server to just talk, and was banned. I wasn't given a reason, warning, and I didn't break any rules. I was unbiased, and never made any negative comments towards the game.)
Rhythia is a community-driven rhythm game project that lives on the passion of both the players and developers. This is not that. This is Rhythia Steam, a rip of the game stolen from passionate developers and being sold because one developer saw an opportunity to profit off of an idea that wasn't his.
This is not the Rhythia you should play, it is stolen, AI generated, and overall a worse experience. If you decide to play this version, your money will NOT go toward the original developers. this client is NOT an improvement over any of the other free ones.
Go to the Rhythia discord (not the Rhythia Steam discord) and download the free version there.
I've been playing Sound Space (aka Blox Saber) on and off since 2019, and Rhythia for about a year or two, and obviously I love playing them, so when I saw that Rhythia was getting a steam release I was pretty surprised and also happy about it so I instantly wishlisted it, waiting for the day of the release to come, and here we are.
As soon as I remembered about this game releasing I went to my wishlist and instantly bought the game, and only after that I decided to read the reviews, and that's when I learned that the people currently working on the free version of Rhythia aren't even associated with this steam release, rather it's just 1 guy who was kicked out of that team working on this, probably to just make a quick buck out of this and then dip. Then of course there's also the owner of this steam release admitting that he used AI tools while making this game, and just all of this together instantly ruined all my excitement I had towards this game, but I still decided to give it a try.
So, as soon as you open the game, you're asked to pick out some basic settings like your language, whether you're playing with a mouse or with a tablet, and so on, and after that you get put into the menu where you're greeted with a mind blowing 8 songs total.... Now... I get that you're supposed to download community made maps and play those, but really? You've been working on this game for nearly a year and you can only greet new players with 8 pretty easy and poorly mapped songs? And even if you're gonna rely on community made maps that much, at least add a proper tutorial for new people and show them where they can find these maps and how they can add them.
But apart from the lack of songs, the menus and the overall gameplay just feels bland, and boring. It might just be a personal problem, but whenever I do well in a more difficult song in Sound Space or the free version of Rhythia, it makes me actually feel good, it feels rewarding, but I don't feel any of those in this game. But even ignoring that, the game is just filled with bugs, and I know, I know... the game is in "early access" and bugs should be expected, but if you're really gonna charge money for this, then I don't think something as simple as deleting a custom map should constantly crash your game, or I don't think that the online chatroom that was added should just randomly disappear and reappear from time to time. And another thing I noticed is that the achievements just simply don't work properly? Like I completed multiple "Logic" difficulty maps and I did get the 3-8 star clear achievements, but I just simply didn't get the achievement you're supposed to get after you pass a Logic map. And also for some reason changing the speed of a song doesn't count as a "mod", even though in Sound Space and I'm pretty sure in the free version of Rhythia aswell it does count as a mod, so I was able to pick an 8 star map, put it on the slowest speed I could, and the game literally changed the star rating from like 8.80 to 6. something because of me slowing it down, yet upon completion it still gave me the "8 Star Clear" achievement. (And also just a side note that most of the achievement names and requirements were legit just copy and pasted from the original Sound Space game)
Overall this game was a big disappointment and I really wouldn't recommend this even when it'll become free (if that's ever going to happen), you're really just better off giving the original Sound Space on Roblox a try, or if you don't feel like grinding for songs and also want a bit smoother experience then just get the free version of Rhythia through their discord, you can find it linked in one of the top reviews or just by simply searching it up.
There is some sort of drama going on, but ima be real, as an Osu player this is too eazy.
All u do is move ur mouse. I tried getting into it but i dont like the idea at all.
+ They used a lot of AI so another reason to review it badly.
Simple but energetic, thats all the game is. The builtin customization lets you change anything to your liking with little to no effort. The performance is unmatched, even in the Early Access version. Overall a good improvement of the previous Rhythia client. If you want to test the game, consider downloading the old Client first since its free and the gameplay basically hasnt changed at all.
Things i think are missing as of February:
- Online multiplayer
- Built-in map editor
- Custom Backround Scenes (Think modded Beatsaber)
- Story mode isnt implemented yet
- Workshop isnt set up yet
- A lot of love from the community
(Also can we please stop complaining about the Early Access costing 4 dollars like they said it will be free once the Early Access phase ends if you like the old client so bad that stay on the old client you are the one who decided to pay the tiny amount of 4 dollars)
Game is good but there is some performance issues which will most likely be fixed quickly considering how much work theyre putting into this and its first day of launch so its to be expected. The drama surrounding this game just feels like a bunch of babies crying with no clue about what they are talking about. Their claim of this game using AI is completely baseless with zero evidence behind it, theyll post a doc and itll just say something like "probably using ai" in it, and their claims of this game being stolen is just completely idiotic considering its made by the same devs and if the ex dev wanted something to be done about the part of the game that he made he wouldve done something about it. This is a great game overall and you should at least try it if youre into rhythm games since its cheap and you can always refund the game.
thought game was cool until i found out devs are scummy
apparently they stole the game from original community, made this game with ai, and shipped it out for a quick buck (not poggers)
also heard it could potentially have malware/steal data so being careful, refunding
Creator stole from the original makers, uses AI slop to generate the game alongside stolen code, also has been caught stealing data, breaching GDPR.
for a game in early access priced at $5, it's lived up to my expectations and more, despite all the community conflict between the stand-alone version and this steam release.
any negative reviews from people complaining about the "lack of maps" haven't taken the chance to even figure out how to enable the online community maps, as well as the option to drag maps into the game window.
the devs are quick to acknowledge issues and are open to constructive criticism. I'm excited for the future of this game.
starting with the game itself: although it’s in early access, i would not consider it ready enough to provide a comfortable experience. the settings menu feels cluttered, disorganized, and annoying to navigate. i didnt see a search bar either, a basic necessity, and if it exists it isnt obvious. the menus and UI just feel soulles in my opinion, with lots of empty black space that could use anything to make it more interesting, even just extra score information
spin, the other camera mode separate from the default, is a major part of the game’s history and what originally defined it. yet it’s been dumped in a random settings page that I feel most players would skip over, likely without knowing what it means. because it’s treated as a simple toggle, you can turn it on or off mid-song. treating an entirely different way to play the game as just another setting, and not even preventing players from changing it during a map, feels like a huge oversight. it just feels careless, considering its the original way the game was played
keep in mind these are just the basic things i noticed at first, im sure there are many things i didnt think to include here
beyond gameplay issues, the concept came from an unaffiliated open-source project, and those developers never gave permission for this version to be created. the name itself is also not original, nor had permission to be used. most peoples impression of the developer, whenever stuff like this is brought up, is toxicity or dismissal of it. thats a horrible looking for a developer of a game built on the back of the community. even in spite of this, it’s marketed as the “official, original game,” which is blatantly wrong. even the achievements and default color sets are taken from Sound Space, the real original game.
anyway, I would not recommend this game, both because of its poor gameplay in its current state and because of the developer’s poor public image and history. theyre basically charging money for something you can already play for free.
I thought I would recommend this game. But I just now found out that this Steam version is a stolen copy of the original, and the original devs can't fix it. Do not buy this game, play the original (for free) at their Discord server.
Rhythia is a great rhythm game. But I cannot recommend this Steam copy. Please do not buy this, and play the original. Will be refunding
This is nothing more than a subpar Rhythia clone. The developer was kicked off the original team and seemingly rushed this version to the store out of spite. Save your time and stick with the original; this version lacks the heart, stability, and integrity of the source material.
this game uses a bunch of ai for the code, ui and wtv. plays badly and charges people money for something they can get for free in the official rhythia discord (discord.gg/rhythia). this is a pure cashgrab and i will be refunding this. dont buy play the original
