This game was so incredibly delightful. I loved exploring and finding all the little dialogues for things, and the ending is such a joy also. Incredibly Incredibly worth it if you're looking for a fun game that will give you warm and fuzzies inside.

Very short, very sweet. Lovely voice acting. Favourite part was getting scolded by holmes for trying to do something inappropriate.

If you enjoy the original stories or Granada series, you will enjoy this game. It's a loving continuation of the characters we know so well, on top of new ones that suit the story perfectly. (Also, mild references to other literary figures from the 20s. I loved seeing those, so much).

The puzzles are enjoyable, and none of the solutions were so obtuse it felt like banging my head against a wall. There are even multiple solutions for some of them. I plan to play this again just to try those out. If you ever want to have a cozy afternoon, best enjoy this game with a cup of tea. Maybe a few, so it doesn't get cold.

I really loved the system of brain attic and of deductions that one could make there. The voice actors really surpassed my expectations and especially the last scene with Sherlock and John made me very emotonal, kudos for the way it was written and thought up too. Each character was so different and likeable in their own way. The coziest Sherlock Holmes content you may find. Just excellent!

This game is so sweet. Every moment of it is a loving homage to the original Sherlock Holmes stories, while giving the beloved detective the gentle, sun-filled retirement he deserves. Low stakes mysteries in a cozy village offer a classic point-and-click experience that concludes with a beautiful scene that I won't spoil, but delighted me beyond words.

This is a wonderful game and a real treat for any fans of Sherlock Holmes.

This is a beautiful little game. So well made, attention to detail is clear. Aesthetically very gorgeous, and creates a wonderful environment that pulls you in. I have played this multiple times by this point, and I like the range of choices, reactions etc you can get that makes each playthrough different.

such a charming game! i wasn't expecting the whole game to be voice acted, so that was a really nice touch. when i went back in to clean up the achievements i missed the first time, i thought the game to be a bit slow moving, as in, literally in the way sherlock moves around, but this is super not a huge deal. the characters are charming, the story puzzles are not too difficult; overall a vibe and a delightful little cozy game

This game healed me from the years of broken promises and queerbaiting of BBC's Sherlock. I nearly cried at the ending, it was magnificent. If you like The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes in any capacity you must this game.

A charmingly sweet story perfect for fans of Sherlock Holmes. The puzzles were fun and I'm definitely looking forward to playing this game again in the pursuit of unlocking all the awesome achievements.
Side note: As an admirer of PG Wodehouse's tales of Jeeves and Wooster it was really fun to see them referenced on the beach.

A charming game inspired by the stories of Sherlock Holmes. The deduction and gameplay mechanics are easy to pick up, completed with a homey seaside town makes for a fun point and click game.

Oh my gosh, I loved everything about this game. I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say as an elder millenial with fond memories of LucasArts Adventure Games, this was the most soul-satisfying point-and-click I've played in at least two decades.
I get frustrated with most point-and-click puzzle games when I think "oh, wouldn't it be fun if I could solve the puzzle this way..." and instead get forced into some random contrived solution of mashing random objects together. Beekeeper's Picnic is unique in that there are multiple satisfying and unique solutions or workarounds for each obstacle, and you don't have to solve everything to progress the story.
And Oh, the story!
It's so, so good. I could write a hundred paragraphs about how perfectly the writing balances the tone and pacing at every level--the art, the plot, the emotion, the characters, the dialogue, the choices and mechanics--to create this calm, unhurried, joyful experience that is also so profoundly human you might cry.
(It's possible that it only makes you cry if you're an elder millenial grappling with aging and learning to accept your neurodiversity and appreciate the grace your found family shows you and battling your self-doubt and fear of rejection and also desperate to just retire to the countryside and become a beekeeper.)
But you could ignore everything deeper and it would still be a delightful cozy point-and-click puzzler with clever, cheeky easter eggs, gorgeous art, and satisfying puzzles. 10/10 absolutely recommend.

The Beekeeper's Picnic is a delightful little point and click adventure with soothing seaside retirement vibes. Sherlock Holmes is a treat to play in his sentimental beekeeping era as he explores his village, brings a little joy to his neighbours, rids the beach of miscreants, and creates a picnic for his dearest friend. Disguises, deductions, and diversions abound as Holmes directs his considerable intelligence towards crafting the perfect picnic for Watson. The Beekeeper's Picnic is a charming game brimming with Sherlockian tidbits enough to please any fan.

Oh my gosh this game is amazing. The voicing and background sound and music is incredible (hodge loml) and it's just about the cutest thing in the universe. The adventures, characters (also gotta mention Hilda cmon) art, and setting are so charming, and I fully freaked out several times. HIGHLY recommend.

Love exploring the life of a retired Sherlock Holmes, and solving little puzzles in his village life.

Had to increase the mouse sensitivity in the game files as it was initially extremely slow, but once I'd done that gameplay experience was great.

This game is absolutely lovely and amazing! It is cosy, heartwarming, the art is stunning, and thhe storytelling is absolutely beautiful. I love that we as the players can determine the nature of Holmes and Watsons relationship, and that there is a queerplatonic option! Also there is so much to explore and so many silly things to do apart from the main quest which really adds live and depth to the whole story. Also spotting all the refrences to the original stories is a fun game on its own!

Thank you so much to everybody involved in making this beautiful game. It has brought me a lot of joy :) As soon as I submitted my last final, I sat down and played the whole thing straight through. It was so delightfully heartwarming. I loved getting to know all of the characters and seeing each of them find their lives at least a little, if not a whole lot, happier by the end than when they started. The soundtrack and design and everything were so cozy. This whole game felt like a hug :)

I supported this game on Kickstarter, then bought the game myself, and am playing this blind. Let me tell you this, despite my ADHD tendencies to not finish games, this game offers wonderful music, talented voice acting, replay-ability, and is down right charming. If you're an avid ACD Holmes fan like me, you may be concerned about canon deliverance. Fret not my friends, the game is true to its origins, you find many references to many Sherlockian Adventures here and still enjoy the little head-canons the game has to offer. This game has multiple endings, play it how you like it!

Now I shall return to tending my bumbling friends.

Amazing game. It was such a cozy and heartwarming experience. You can feel the love that has been poured into it. Go play it yourself! You won't regret it!

As you may or may not be able to see, I created a Steam account just to play this game. The voice acting in this was absolutely incredible (gotta say, I think my favorite line deliveries came from Ruffles.) But it doesn't just begin and end there. The soundtrack, artwork, and story line were to die for and they all worked together to create a beautiful love letter to ACD's characters. I played it with my friends, which means we all got together and decided on every dialogue option and action to do, and they all loved it as well. Now I just have to go back on my own and get all of the achievements!

I recommend this game to any Sherlock Holmes fan. I’m in love with this portrayal of Holmes and Watson and the creators love for the source material is clear in every detail. I keep thinking back to this older Holmes, living in Sussex with his bees, active in his community, and it brings me so much joy.

A really charming little point and click adventure. I only have a passing knowledge of Sherlock Holmes so I'm sure I didn't fully appreciate a lot of the little nods in the game but I still found it immensely enjoyable. All the puzzles were pretty logical so I didn't ever get stuck on anything for a frustrating amount of time and you can finish it in an afternoon which is very much a plus for me.

The ending made me tear up. It was so lovely.

This game was so sweet and enjoyable to play! the entire picnic scene I had a giant grin on my face the entire time. Holmes and Watson felt so on point and like themselves, the puzzles were fun and I loved talking to all the various characters populating the village. I could have easily played a version of this game twice as long! My only real nitpick (and it is a nitpick) is that sometimes the music is a bit overpowering and it can be difficult to hear the dialogue. However the rest of the game was great and I'm probably going to replay it just to see the little differences in dialogue I can get.

A lovely and cozy game where you play as a retired Sherlock Holmes enjoying his retirement. The choice on how you view his relationship to Watson is well done and inclusive for everyone. The game is well made and voiced.

Man. This game is so good. I'm not a big paint-and-click player so this was a real treat. I've recommended it to members of my family because I had so much fun playing it.
I am in deep burnout from this semester, so it was lovely to drop my shoulders and play something really chill and honestly adorable.

A perfect, beautifully put together and attentive game!

Genuinely one of the coziest games I've ever played. It is a beautifully crafted love letter to the canon, with details and references that are fun to find. It's so wholesome, while staying true to the original characters and seamlessly introducing a new cast of fun side characters. I loved it!!

As a slash girl + detective game fan I have mixed feelings about this...
As a fan game it is perfect. The art, the writings, it is 2-3 hours of exploring an idyllic country side and the story of your favorite characters. It is a healing, sweet and wholesome experience.
But I kind of had started it with the expectation of a detective game. The mechanism of the mind attic is fun in a lore-conforming way. I had expected to solve great mysteries and have some detective fun. I can't help but felt a little disappointed when I quickly realized that was not what the story is about.
Nevertheless, it is a sweet story and I enjoyed it profoundly in the end.

I hate to be the person who gives this a negative reviews and I so wish Steam had a neutral option. I just think this game is probably not for me (or players like me) but it seems to be plenty of people's bag so to speak.

That being said, my personal opinion is that nothing happens and it's boring. I don't care about the main characters relationship and love so why would I care about their picnic? (Disclaimer: those who know more about Sherlock lore I guess may feel this was baked in, it wasn't for me, having only a brush with Sherlock novels, and I didn't get it)

Nothing of any urgency ever seems to happen or propel the game forward. Nothing exciting, nothing shocking, no plot twists. This is basically slice of life.

The puzzles themselves are too straightforward to be puzzles for seasoned adventurers.

On the other hand, the art style is cute and charming, so it has that.

This really is the best Sherlock Holmes game! Absolutely heartwarming, focusing on the profound bond between Holmes and Watson. You can play it as platonically or shippy as you'd like. There were so many moments that I was just smiling and taking screenshots, it was lovely. The puzzles made sense, and it's very faithful to original canon. My only tiny complaint is there was no one-liner about Lestrade, but I'll live.

Oh my, how I adored this game. The art style alone is what initially made me want to buy it, but the heartwarming & funny story, with a smidgen of snark, is what drew me in completely. You don’t even have to be a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes & Watson (as I am not really) to thoroughly enjoy playing it.

This game feels like a hug, the long, loving kind of one! There are lots and lots of little Easter Eggs and references to the original stories which made me giggle more than once. But even if you haven't read any Holmes story and are just looking for a relaxing distraction from the world, playing The Beekeeper's Picnic is a lovely experience.

Amazing game, loved it to bits! This game obviously has a lot of love and heart put into it and it is really heartwarming. Play it if you're a fan of Sherlock and want a good time!!

Such a wonderful atmosphere with fantastic voice acting and a sweet setting that I never wanted to leave. Plus all the openly queer love (if you so choose!!) — completely worth 5+ hours of your time and some replays!

I think this might be my favourite Holmes game I have ever played, with all due respect to Frogwares. It is clever and challenging without being annoying, and the characterisation is wonderful. There are also loads of little details - like the unique 'Old Man Holmes Is Sneaking' animation used in one part of the game, or the silly young man and his very intelligent alet on the beach - that really make this a delight. It's great for puzzle fans, but especially lovely if you're a fan of Sherlock Holmes.

The best game I've ever played. I must admit I have awaited it's release quite anxiously, ever since learning of Jabbage's quest to create it, several years ago now. It has far excelled every expectation I could have placed upon it.

Some things in life seem to have been woven from the threads which bind one's heart to the world. The love here is tangible, and I am eternally grateful to bear witness. Thank you for giving this to us all.

A sweet little game with lots of delightful details for fans of the original Holmes canon (and A.J. Raffles stories -- I see you, writers)! All the charm of the ACD stories without the racism and sexism, you love to see it. Lots of moments made me smile. The ending was genuinely poignant. I had a hard time choosing between certain options in this game because I wanted to see all the scenes and hear all the dialogue, especially at the end.

Beautiful and heartwarming game, highly recommended for fans of the classic Sherlock Holmes (and especially for those who treasured the relationship between Holmes and Watson). Full of tender moments, hilarious breaking of the fourth wall, and references, and voiced by an insanely talented cast!

Oh, what a sweet little piece!
It is practically perfect even from a Sherlockian perspective: pleasant, authentic, and remarkably peaceful.
1920 may sound a strange choice for a year, as we know so little about Holmes and Watson after 1914, - but everything still appears quite plausible. The story is small but interesting, the puzzles are great, the characters are nice.
The only drawback is that is very short - it took me just a bit over 2 hours to complete the game with all the achievements. Luckily, the price is not high.

If you are a fan of old-fashioned point-and-click games in the tradition of, say, Lucas Arts, I highly recommend this game! The Beekeeper's Picnic is a lovely, albeit somewhat short game (took me ~3 hours). It has a very cozy, whimsical/quaint, relaxing vibe. The writing, art, and voice acting are all well done. A fun little twist is that several puzzles have multiple solutions. My only complaint is that it wasn't longer!
