Music taste is incredibly subjective.
With that in mind this is a solid selection of songs that mayyy not quite fit the title as well as you might imagine. Sure, they do a decent job replicating or being inspired by certain genres of 80s music, but that's just it. It's certain genres. I would not go into this expecting a comprehensive selection. Furthermore, the movie element is there, I guess...but, again, only for certain genres, I'd say.
All that aside...the songs are pretty good. I have a few favorites. I like "Prom-87" maybe the most, which happens to be perhaps the most different of the lot. They seem to mostly be made by the same couple of artists, and such do all generally have a similar sound/vibe, which makes sense. If you enjoy that vibe for one song, you'll probably enjoy the whole.
As for the station itself, I'll refrain from the usual ads rant and focus on the DJ....Dr. Zerkus. He's an odd character. Talks a lot about aliens. I suppose it fits the 80s movies theme.......Anyways, as far as CS DJs goes, he's alright. They may have leaned a little hard into the joke in the writing, but it's fine I guess.
Overall, the tunes are a nice addition to the in-game audio rotation. I recommend picking this pack up on sale and/or part of a bundle.
Dont buy it. It contains one, (thats right) one movie theme played over and over again.
I was hoping for more Gold Type FM but Movie hit's from the 80s. What i got was talk about aliens.
