Import Dynamic Dungeons maps or your own images or video files into the storyline and make a playlist, cover and reveal areas with the fog of war tool, apply custom size hex or quad grid overlay.
Playing on the Tv screen is easier than you think. Simply lay flat your TV. You can protect the screen with a cheap plexiglass sheet, and use dry or wet-erase markers on it, so miniatures and dice rolls won't damage the surface of the Tv. You can also project down the video onto a physical table with an HD projector. Please note, that it's not a VTT for online gaming.
The Dynamic Dungeons Editor will help you to adjust the color of the videos and static maps, import png tokens to represent the players and their foes. You can play various ambient sounds and use particle effects to pimp up static or animated maps.
A free modular dungeon pack is available for this software containing more than 100 png props like corridors and various chambers to build your own dungeon.
(Although there are many customization options available and custom 2D maps can be created with the application, be aware that Dynamic Dungeons maps are not made with this app, but in various 3D software. You may want to try the demo version before you buy.)

It uses a great deal of PC power even when using a static 2D map. I'm surprised at the resources that it requires. However, as a stand alone software to driver your VTT it comes with fewer string than any other. We don't do our game digitally, we just want to play on a VTT. It beats the hell out of the amount of printing required for paper maps for dungeon crawls. We will keep using it until someone comes out with a lighter alternative. I printed maps for the Lost Cavern of Tsojcanth, The Steading of the Hill Giant Chief, and the first level of the Rift of the Frost Giant Jarl. I start using a VTT for the second level and it was a game changer!
older off live version Way better Steam just drags performance and usability WAYYYY down
Wish i had NEVER BOUGHT this version and im not trying to run it on low end equipment
1gb isp network i5 12600 cpu 64gb ddr4 ram rtx 3060 12gb gpu
total Garbage
As intuitive as a alyman staring a blank CAD screen. You're basically taking an online class to run something, because no one who makes thees know how to make an intuitive UI.
The UI is buggy and hard to use. It takes a whole eternity to load a story and you have to explicitly save it as a bundle to assure, that the pictures and everything you adjusted is still there. Either way, it wont save the story as you intend it to be, pictures are either moved or completely gone, zoomed in or there are no effects saved at all, all preset saving options dont work. Not recommended at all
its a bit of a learning curve to get it up and running but once you do it works well
We play with a macbook hooked up to a tv, usually the program will just freeze and i have to restart my macbook and even then sometimes it doesn't fix it. It doesn't allow me to resize maps for the tv which would be basically the only feature id want.
It lets you do a storyboard type thing which personally we never use but i can see the appeal. The grid making options are nice but a bit finicky, throw a mini on the tv and you can scale it in a minute or two.
idk, honestly if you have the time to put lines over a map and fullscreen paint or something its the same exact thing. You can play video maps which is cool, you'll have a small selection though so probably gonna have to make adventures around the maps, which is fine.
in summary, it runs poorly, its slow, I'm looking to jump ship at literally every turn when i hear about another option, but i already paid for this and i imagine foundry does the same thing but better. Just buy that instead probably?
