Game is kinda eh right now, new armor mechanics are amazing and all that makes the game much better but the skills are so bad, enemies feels too damage spongy and i have huge ping on public servers. Will wait till this game updates the skill system and bring back peer 2 peer connection. I have high hopes for this game

Review: Frustrating Account Requirement Ruins the Experience

I was excited to dive into this game, but I’ve been completely unable to play it due to an unnecessary and poorly implemented account creation requirement. Forcing players to make an account to access a game—when countless other titles offer seamless, account-free experiences—is baffling and feels like a thinly veiled attempt to track user data.

Worse, the account creation process is broken. After three days, I’m still stuck because the verification email never arrives in my inbox, likely due to some issue with their proxy servers or email system. I’ve paid for a game I can’t even play, hitting a brick wall of frustration before the game even starts. This is unacceptable, especially when the account system adds no value to the player experience. It appears to be a common issue with them as it is among the top issues in FAQ section about not receiving verification emails. I have done all the things suggested in the troubleshooting for this issue, yet it still persists. The fact that I would even have to:

Clear browser cache/cookies;
- Allow Pop-ups and Redirects in your browser settings;
- Temporarily disable extensions like Adblock;
- If you're using a mobile device, please try to access the website from a PC/Laptop;
- Try a different browser.
- Alternatively, if the issue persists, we would also highly recommend trying again at a later time.

...just to create an unnecessary "ACCOUNT" to play the game is 7+ steps too far just to play the game.

Until they fix this intrusive and dysfunctional account requirement, I can’t recommend this game. Save your money and play one of the thousands of other titles that respect your time and privacy.

It's not a BAD game. I'd not necessarily say that its the greatest game of the year and you're all stupid, but its a good game when it comes to what people play it up to be.
I think the main problem everyone has is going in expecting just... more Payday 2.
Payday 3 is not in any complete condition. But the devs of PD3 are showing they are capable of making something worthwhile.
HOWEVER. I think some features should come back from PD2.
Snipers should shoot faster and be punishing on every difficulty.
Bulldozers shouldn't just stop shooting.
DLC heists should be free to play online, but not free to host.
Some of the things people mention could be worked on.
All i'm saying is; don't just take PD3 at face value. If its on sale, give it a shot. DO NOT think its gonna be Payday 2 again. Expect a different product where you can FEEL the Payday essence, but a product of different scale.
also jacket is 5 dollars compared to 20 for HM2 DD edition LETS GO!!!

People look back on PD2 with rose tinted glasses but i genuinely think this game is great but severly lacks in the content/replayability department. Give it a few years and hopefully it will match.

The previous game is just better, less restricted gameplay, weaponry, skills, customization, and enemies in my opinion. Graphics at this point, do not matter, i wanna rob a bank w mega choices of weapons that aren't booty and basic. :(

I like payday 3 because it's payday 3, not because it's trying to be a payday 2 remaster. I like that starbreeze is still trying to work on the game despite all of the doomposters saying the same crap.
If they focus on refining the systems first, I think it will do more for the game overall than just throwing "content" out and expecting it to work. Maybe some simple heists with good variations so people can have a good sandbox to try out builds when skills 2.0 is released.

In the state its currently in? Nah. I got all the DLC, and they released armor 2.0. But the map that was there was released as a dlc, Honestly? Either wait for them to stop working on the game so people can work around the servers being offline, or wait till they stop treating its playerbase like shit. I get games need funding and shit, but it truly feels like after as long as they were working on it, they should have released on free map and one DLC map alongside armor 2.0. Especially considering all the controversy this game has had. I'll leave this here, and update as the game updates. I'm already in a sunken cost fallacy.

Devoid of content and entirely reliant on you choosing to do the exact same thing over and over again. After you complete each of the few missions for the first time you're not given a reason to ever do them again. Very corporate and soulless feel with no risks or passion anywhere in its design, unlike Payday 2. The game is just extremely bland in every conceivable way. Extremely overpriced for how little is offered. A lot of basic content and features from the previous games just aren't here and the ones that did return in Payday 3 are all done in a worse way than they were originally executed. Enemies aren't actually difficult or challenging to defeat, they are instead just all bullet sponges. Progression system feels awful, its a boring slog beginning to end and mostly pointless. Gunplay doesn't feel punchy or satisfying, it just "is", hard to describe but its not great. Even after all the dlc and updates its had for all this time post launch its still not where it should have been at launch. This game needed another year or two, maybe even more, in the oven and several tech tests to get player feedback. If you're interested in the series or this kind of genre just stick with Payday 2. Infinitely better in every possible way AND cheaper.

All they had to do with this game was to remake it in a better engine and tidy it up, but somehow this game does every single thing worse

I don't know what people find exactly better in this game. The stealth is not good, you collect barcodes and stand or follow circles. The skills as of now are bland, instead of them creating entirely different playstyles, they just make you do some stuff slightly better and give you 10% buff to overall stats. Police spawns are quarter of what they used to be and to offset that they decided to make them damage sponges, I personally can't believe how somebody would prefer that over PD2, especially since the AI is much dumber, although to give credit where it is due, the shield officers are finally good and are no longer scarecrows with a shield in front of them. The heists in this game are to me the worst offender, they are boring, feel the same for the most part and nothing unique/memorable happens in them, no buses crashing through the wall, no giant pig falling from the skylight, no having be sabotaged by your employer, no stealing cars and such. Currently we have 3 bank heists that have the absolute same game flow, two of which look exactly the same, art gallery mission where you stand in circles for the entire heist, boring knock-off of the bridge mission from PD the heist, robbing a night club of it's one and only bag of cash, a shipping yard where you again stand in circles for the entire heist, jewerly store that is only decent for speed running, a penthouse that uses the exact same textures of the two bank heists and where, yet again, you stand in circles for most of the heist.

The only true good update this game has had is the recent armor update, which adds much needed depth to loud, since the heists and the skill system lack in fun and replayability. The armor update is by no means enough, but is a step in the right direction and merits high hopes for it the incoming skills rework. Anyways, rant over.

We are living in an era where devs think it is okay to release unfinished games and (maybe if you're lucky) update it and patch it across the game's lifecycle.

I can't refund this game anymore but this behavior should not be supported even if the devs somehow fix all the problems in this game.

This game sucks dick, it has close to none charm of the 2nd game the movement is lackluster and the weapons are fucking boring. They couldn't even add a melee system and perck decks, The idea was SO FOREIGN to them that they only just now added a single bat as a OVERKILL WEAPON! The skill tree sucks and the heists are so forgettable with literally nothing in them. The 2nd game had so many fun heists, i mean for crying out loud YOU GOT TO FUCKING ROB THE WHITE HOUSE. Operation medic bag has added NOTHING except a few bug fixes, some new characters and like ONE NEW WEAPON (not counting the overkill bat) i will admit i had fun with the no rest for the wicked heist. only to find out THAT WAS THE ONLY FUN HEIST. Now i get it the game is "fairly new" but like COME ON STARBREEZE ITS BEEN 2 YEARS AND YOU ONLY RECENTLY GOT IT TO FUCKING FUNCTION. It took everything from payday 2 and said "yk what if we like removed everything good about payday 2 and like added 20$ dlc's". This shit is playable but like it aint good it aint so shit BUT ITS FUCKING MID AND BORING. In conclusion... i need a medic bag

PAYDAY 3 is a sequel to payday 2 the game is actually pretty fun and enjoyable most of times, the game had a pretty rough launch a year ago, a year later its actually improving and players are coming back when a new chapter of DLC Content releases, there's even a year 2 planned when anniversary update part 2 is out we will hear more about year 2 maybe a new difficulty, Armor 2.0 revamp system is also coming at the end of the year in December, i truly love this game and I've put 2
200+ hrs already and i still enjoy it not burned out or anything, its something to play after a long day at work and i really enjoy it even playing with randoms is fun what else to say about this game its heading in the Right Direction, Server Browser in October is what i'm most excited for the game and its future.

They fixed most of the issues the game had at launch. There's a solo mode now (although it's much more demanding on your computer) and most of the heists are at least somewhat fun. Dare I say, Boys in Blue is pretty damn good. Alot of the voice acting is amazing as well, with the pager/radio response lines taking the cake as some of the funniest. Chains calling himself a werewolf gave me a good chuckle when I was playing the tutorial, and Clover calling Dallas captain america will always be funny. The game is a little lacking with free content, and there's a lot of power creep with the desert eagle effectively making most other sidearms useless, but otherwise the content and weapon drought isn't too bad, especially considering you can join other people who have the DLC heists, just like in Payday 2. I'd say it's not worth 30 bucks right now, but pick it up when it's on sale.

Payday 3 definitely had (and has) some problems but I stand by the fact that it’s gameplay loop is addicting and the builds, guns, ect are just so satisfying.

Paid $40 to play this game twice for some guy I met online.
After playing this, I went over to his place. I took off my shoes, said hi to his parents, and headed upstairs. He had a very nice room, plenty of space. 2 monitors, glowing gaming-desktop, VR headset laying on his PC tower, and a yellow canid fursuit head displayed on his dresser.

He boots up a fighting game for us, and I get cooked by the 'easy' bot. He turns to me, and offers the yart, since I've never smoked before. I watch as he puts the device up to his lips and takes a deep breath, illuminated only by the soft, blinking light of the pen. He gestures, showing me how to use the damn thing and extends it in his hands. I tentatively reach out, and grab it- our hands touching for a moment. I do as he did, putting the blinker up to my lips and breathing in as deep as I could. I just wanted to impress him.

Suddenly, the acrid vapors began to irritate my esophagus, the burning sensation creeping through my airways. I coughed like hell. Looked a damn fool while doing it, too. Before my body could get a grip, a second drag had already hit my lungs. It didn't take long to feel the buzz. The sluggishness took hold of my body and eyes, my face locked in a sort of confused smile. He takes the pen back, and lends me a hand. I bet him that I wouldn't succumb to the munchies, and by gum, I managed to pull through. He exited the room, pausing for a moment to ask if I wanted any apple fritters. His parents (lovely people btw) had made some, fresh and piping hot. I declined his offer, for I had already ate that day, and watched as he descended out of view.

He soon returned, apple fritters in tow. Now, I may be exceedingly white, but my resolve was iron. I could never give in, especially after claiming munchie-immunity. He put on Rick & Morty to dampen the sound of what was to come. Not sure why, he could have chosen literally anything else. It was really distracting. No matter. After switching on the pirated animation, he once more extended his hand, and, I'll be a gentleman here and say nothing further- but it was NOT worth it. Oh ye gods, it was so mid. I can't believe I payed FORTY DAMN DOLLARS just to be some furry's side piece. That was awful.

I ended up blocking him, for a multitude of reasons, and haven't played it since.

Not because of any bad memories, game was just straight boring. I wouldn't play it if it were free, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. 1/5

Only reason I didnt refund the game was because Im holding out Starbreeze will start listening to the community and fix the game.

If this game interests you then dont buy it, buy Pay Day 2 instead will all the DLC, its a more fleshed out game with better content. Even the earlier missions of PD2 are better than any mission in PD3. Maps feel smaller and less interesting/fleshed out than PD2 maps. Missions are basically all the exact same BS with no character to them.

This game feels like they took everything great about the Pay Day series and threw it out the window to modernize it.

I'm only liking this because I believe this game has the potential to be amazing but in its current state I find it ultimately unsatisfying in long stretches which I think is crucial for longevity on any game.

That being said, in short bursts and especially with friends who enjoy this genre of game makes for a blast of a time in short but potent sessions. It has a fun loop and some of that old PAYDAY heart but its a far way off from being great.

If you want this game to be the successor to PAYDAY 2 that we know it could be, buy and play the game and help those that already believe in this game push it towards better horizons

Wonder if payday went downhill again well here you go launch was a disaster medic bag was saving it but then the higher ups thought a pubg and dungeon and dragons would be better. So now its hanging by a thread thanks to console players and a few good updates like jacket plus stealth is a huge improvement from payday 2 also the revamp of classic heists are cool. Paydays future is so grim right now its been 3 months since an update and waiting another month for armour 2.0 plus a paid heist. So if this game is on sale and got money to burn then pick it up but with so many uncertainties just avoid till it gets better if it dose. Plus theirs no offline mode so when it dies its gone which blows :(

Something that does better compared to previous title:
- You could now do a lot more when unmask, the stealth are much better with a lot more new mechanics, feels like a modern game title finally (I absolutely hate Payday 2 stealth system).
- Better player controller, movement system are improved, player could vault over stuff and sliding now.
- More animations when interacting.

Noticeable problems with this game even after a year:
- UI/UX design are still sub-bar, better than the absolutely atrocious beta, but still very bad in 2025. For example, this is the first ever FPS categorized weapon using bundles and bundles only, I don't know which genius came up with this idea.
- Gun play is awful, guns feels like peashooter, damage and accuracy is just too poor. The enemies feels extremely tanky for some reason, even in the lowest difficulty, an armored goon took 3 DMR headshots to kill, so the headshot doesn't feel rewarding at all. And good luck with spraying as well cuz the damage falloff is unreal even the enemies are just 10 meters away. The grenade launcher feels weaker than Payday 1, it does not hold the name as a "Overkill" weapon.
- Feedback is also awful, in Payday 1 the most satisfying & rewarding sound is the "clink" when headshotting and breaking enemies glass helmet, this kinda of juice is simply missing from this game.
- Weapon progression is too tedious and slow, and honestly, it was just there to milk game hours. Also the attachments unlocked barely make noticeable differences to the weapon anyway.

Game got potential, but I wonder if the developers ever gonna realize it. If anyone want a better product in the same genre, just go play Payday 2.

this game has been hopeless from day one the devs expect praise for fixing some tiny problem honestly i cant think of a single aspect of this game that is better than payday2.

At this point i truly am sad i tried to like it. it is honeslty just a bad game. payday 2 still has so much more to offer within it that this is borderline still feeling like a tech demo. played payday 1 on release and 2 on release. love the series. sad to see the inability to capture the bare minimum of what 2 had.

The fact playing alone (not even offline, just alone) is considered a "beta" 2 years after release should tell you a lot. The game is clearly not designed for a single player and it makes trying to do stealth heists alone a nightmare. in fact stealth has become extremely unintuitive in general it took me a while to realize there's no "conceal" stat anymore. At least not one visible in the loadout menu...

The gunplay is pretty good but the game just throws cloakers at you every 10 seconds for some reason. And there's almost no weapon variety compared to the original. After my first heist I literally couldn't find things to spend money on besides a mask, as most weapons are either DLC locked, high level locked, or bought with a premium currency I can't afford. 5 of let alone 50. [EDIT: I forgot to mention that the default bank heist literally destroys money if you don't disable the packs fast enough, which you can't do by yourself. So you must play with more people or you literally cannot get the same rewards no matter how skilled you are]

Just get payday 2. This is like if call of duty had a heist mode that emulated payday 2.

Give it a go! You might be surprised!

Steam gives you a lot of leniency when it comes to making purchasing decisions with it's refund policy allowing for 2 hours of gameplay within a 14 day period and you can request a refund for any reason whatsoever. This coupled with the numerous amounts of generous discounts they offer it's a safe way of testing whether you feel this game is fun or not!

I say this since due to the controversy and negative feedback from the overall community which is very justified from the decisions made in the past by the developers. But I feel that steam gives you such a great opportunity to experiment with whether you like it or not that you can make your own decision about the game instead of being influenced by the community.

I personally recommend it and enjoy each time I play it however it's not for everybody. The 2 hour refund limit allows for a considerable amount of time to explore solo mode, play some tutorials and run a couple of heists! Good game for the most part but is it just me or does everyone get kicked from heists? I get it sometimes but for the most part i'm not doing anything out of ordinary, I go out of my way to help people and focus on objectives, but still get booted from 50% of the games. Guess i'll just have to host them, but that doesn't seem right. Think it should be a voting system, not just all power to host.

Where to start
Awesome loading screen and the rest is complete trash. From start to finish when you actually manage to close the game without using task manager. The maps are horrible. Walking like you are gliding on the floor. Sounds are horrible. Nothing is good it just looks like they wanted to add graphics to payday 2 and forgot how to copy paste the same maps. Cant refund that waste ; buy yourself mcdonalds Happy meal and you wont regret it like i regret buying that game.

This game is basically payday 2 with slightly better graphics and way less content. I like the combat but just play payday 2, it's way less money and there is soooo much more content to play. Other than the better graphics and combat, the soundtrack kinda kicks ass but it doesn't make up for the game. The best heist this game had was on everyone's wallets.

Just save yourself time and money and buy payday 2. this game even with 1 year of patch still has so many issue that will never get fix since the publisher has already abandon it.just another modern live service game in the grave

I just want a game that's like the 1997 hit movie Heat.

You want that? Alright. Here's Payday 3. Lets start off with a cast of characters. You get the OG cast of characters. But now they're a bit more loose, quirky, and less professionally dressed. Young people don't like properly fitted suits. There's also a wide variety of female characters to choose from who don't have much of an explanation, they don't dress or have masks that match the rest of the team. Bane is gone, he's been replaced by some brave and stunning woman who has Marvel dialogue that definitely won't annoy you at all. And the dialogue? The voice actors and voice acting director did an outstanding job making the characters feel totally disconnected from the action in game. It's as if they did not want to be there at all, sometimes even eating lunch while they read their lines.

Well, what about guns? There's a decent selection, a good one I'd say. Animations are pretty good. However the design choice to make them sound worse than the last game was puzzling. At least you can install mods to improve the gun sounds (and the music, which is also worse in this game). Combat is VERY bullet spongy. I honestly don't remember taking over half of my magazine to kill one person in the last game. This game would benefit from a higher time to kill and I'd accept taking more damage from enemies to balance things out. But kids nowadays love being able to run out of cover like it's Fortnite.

BUT THE HEEEEEEEIIIIIISTS?! Lets see how they improved. The same basic layouts are there like in the last game. There aren't many large good open spots to have firefights. Too many tight corridors, which aren't bad, but just too many of them. Really FUN AND ENGAGING THINGS LIKE standing on a circle on the ground waiting 5 -10 seconds for a hack to complete. The audience is gonna love that. Having a firefight in the street to get to the van? Nah. Kids nowadays just wanna put their bags under the skylight and just teleport to a mission complete screen.

Heat is a slow burn of a movie, but it does a fantastic job of completely surprising the viewer and putting them right in the middle of a bank robbery that just feels so real. Blood pumping yelling, ear rattling gunfire through the city streets, the adrenaline of running cover to cover and utilizing suppressing fire to get across to a getaway.

Payday 3 is like being those two losers who watched the 1995 movie Heat, and then thought they could be the exact same in real life. So in 1997 they went to a bank in west Hollywood and proceeded to have a shootout that was not as cinematic. It wasn't as action packed, or flashy, or adrenaline pumping. And I won't spoil the ending of the real life heist where they both died after failing miserably to get away. But lets imagine that you were a part of their team and you got away with them. You all look at each other and go: "Well. That was fine I guess. Wasn't really as cool as I expected".

This game should be so much cooler than it really plays and feels. This game feels pretty soulless and gimmicky in order to try and innovate just to say that they added things rather than perfecting what was already there. They ruin things like the armor system for god knows why. And they ruin existing characters and add new ones to appeal to players and people who will not buy this game. Crime Boss: Rockay City, the Alibaba alternative to this, honestly does a lot more better in the interactive and mission layout aspect as far as heist games go. It really shouldn't be this hard to get it right.... right?

What a sad sad time it is to want to play a game where you just want to rob a bank, and to look and feel cool while doing it. It seems like it's getting easier and easier for large game companies to make something crazy like robbing a bank feel so boring.

2/10. Compared to the absolute GOAT that is Payday 2, this game is embarrassingly awful. Please never make games again Starbreeze.

I was really hyped for this game. I waited for years, and I thought it would finally be good. I played for about 70 minutes, but I couldn't even play a single match because the game is dead. + After almost two years, there's still no working solo mode. This game will never get out of the grave it dug for itself.

It has some bugs but no major ones that make the game worse. I has pretty good replayability for a few dozen hours. It's worth it when it's on sale for $15 but if you have 3 friends to play it with it's amazing. Biggest problem is that they release mostly dlc content and not too many free maps. The hate for this game is 2 years old, its been fixed up and patched pretty well.

2 Years after launch and still they still didn't fix the matchmaking. 2 hours gameplay 3.5 hours Trying to get into a game. tbf the game is good, that's if you could get in a lobby.

TLDR: 1. No offline mode still so if servers go you can't play 2. no replayability or variations to heists 3. no communication to community 4. its only a matter of time before support is cut.

If you really want a payday game get payday 2... I recently decided to try Payday 3 again after the last time I played it last summer and have some thoughts. I have a very high end PC that doesn't lag or stutter on any other game but payday 3 has been horrible, the time it takes too even load into a heist is terrible and the stuttering when moving around and playing is horrendous. Out of all the games I've bought and played this is the biggest disappointment I've ever had (and i bought SSKTJ) from its broken and unplayable launch 1.6 years ago from the time of my review until now there has been very little added to incentive players to come back if they've played all the heists once.

The new heists add very little and aren't good enough to justify returning or buying the game, For being a "live service" game they are constantly delaying updates and not communicating with the community and very little active playerbase. (540 average players per day in the last month,,, SSKTJ has 136 and Payday 2 has 17,084) there was even a glitch on 99 boxes that leveled your weapons up extremely fast that lasted from at least OCTOBER 4th to NOVEMBER 2nd. Currently there has not been an update for about 70 days and still no news, with the latest update being a desperate cash grab to squeeze the remain players for a little more money. The only updates we know coming to the game at some point in the future is a armor rework along with conformation they worked on a heist or two that may or may not come.

The replayability is non-existent due to no heist variation and no infamy system like Payday 2. If you are a new player the skill system is extremely confusing due to only giving the player 28 skill points and with how many skills there are most players end up having to look up (or end up using) certain skills that most of the players end up using and with most weapons are under-powered and useless or "broken" most players end up using the same builds weapons and skills with no real variations.

In its current state Payday 3 is not worth the original 60 plus dollars and not even worth the 30 dollars it currently is. Payday 3 currently has NO offline mode, meaning if.. no when the servers get shutdown you will not be able to play the game at all even though you have bought it. With the games support getting moved to another project (Project Baxter a dnd game) and content creators leaving the game it is only a matter of time before what little support the game has left will be cut and Payday 3 gets abandon.

payday 3 certainly doesnt have the same charm as payday 2, but it IS a good and fun game

I loved payday 2 and still do to this day, was beyond excited to hear that payday 3 was revealed and I was there on gamepass when it launched. Then playing it for days on end and the sheer of disappointment it has compared to payday 2 is depressing. You would have thought that they learned from their mistakes when payday 2 first released & the flaws in that but they didnt, somehow someway they made it worse. Now that its been almost 2 full years since release of this game its still in a depressing state. There is beyond less content in almost if not every single way, they HAD to make a singleplayer mode (because it was not there on release, its still in "beta" btw), The bots are horrible (somehow worse than payday 2 bots), The game is beyond braindead easy and does not feel like a challenge. Talents trees are a mess and are not fun nor engaging like the second game. There are no melee weapons (jackets DLC weapon does not count since its a overkill weapon) Like what the hell happened? Why did we go backwards in every way possible.

Truly wish they didnt make payday 3 but instead just put Payday 2 into their new engine, updated the gun play & movement in pday 2. Because pday 3 has really good gun play & movement thats all I can say good about this game.

Please STAY away from payday 3 and instead put your time into payday 2, this game has nothing good to offer and is a embarrassment to this games history. I want this game to succeed and come back from the dead but the way things are looking on the outside and the inside of this company its most likely doomed for future support, let alone bringing in good content.

the depressing death of the payday series caused by a company that cant make any good games who created perhaps the worst skill sistem i have ever seen and instead of fixing it first they decided to add a million things to it while never fixing the core problem it had the same company that considered operation medic bag a perfect solution to all the problems while in reality operation medic bag turned the game from unplayable to unfun never truely fixing anything and now with reduced investment theres pretty much no way that payday 3 can get the big patch and content update needed to be revived meaning that though they might not admit it payday 3 is dead its never going to reach a amount of players that would make it anything but dead all that remains is to wait for the official anouncement that payday 3 will no longer get updates but yeah im sure that the new game from the studio that brought you such classics as overkill's the walking dead raid ww2 and payday 3 will do just fine fucking investors and money people should stay in their fucking offices and suck a fat dick instead of making such stupid fucking decisions that jerpardise an entire francise and thus make tons of people lose their jobs and while yeah i would like payday to exist because i liked payday 2 the devs jobs matter quite a bit more its just utterly depressing they didnt even try to make this game work its just fucking sad rest in peace payday its clear now that everyone that made payday 2 so good is no longer working at the company that has the ip now said company is a slop machine that makes terrible shit games and then promises to fix them but only fixes like a couple of minor stupid shit that should take like a day but hypes it up like its a crazy new patch yeah a unready button isnt anything to be exited about it is embaracing that it was marketed as a big new feature in operation medic bag truely a compleate shit show from start to end all i hope is that one day another game gives me what i wanted from payday 3 a fun powerfantasy in loud and a cool stealth experience in quiet. crime city is at least trying to improve and they are actualy making meaninful changes not adding a unready button and calling themselves messiah for it and den of wolves looks good but im not sure is gonna be the payday experience i want still i await its release just so it can become clear that all the people who made starbreeze great left the important positions long ago and were replaced by absolute money hungry morons.

im sure that the post mortem about this game will be mighty interesting the development must have been absolute hell and chaos

RIP PAYDAY

There is potential here, the stealth mechanic updates are so nice and the game is fun, especially since the XP Rework, but the issue is that there isn't a lot here. YET. Payday 2 was also barren for a long time before it got to where it is now so fingers crossed this gets the same uptick in content

This game is a shadow of what payday 2 was. The skill system sucks by comparison. In the old payday 2 skill system there was a ton of versatility like you could make a build that healed itself when it picked up ammo which was good for medic classes, or you could get builds with awesome armor pen that could easily devastate shield dudes. Then being able to combine cards with the skill system took it to another level in PD2. Payday 3 said "screw the skill system stuff lets just use the cards as a sill system" and it honestly sucks.

On top of that I feel like there should be ammo types that that arent deployables, in pd2 you could just have incendiary rounds where if this game gave you ammo types it would just make it a deployable.

I got bored after about 50 hours. Aside from it launching with only like 10 missions I found most of the missions to be more stealth favoring. Although theyve added more loud levels since at least.

I just think to bring this game up to the level of payday 2 they need to redesign the skill system entirely to be deeper and more versatile and have that be just like pay day 2 where it pairs with a card system that accentuates the builds in the skill system. Maybe add ammo types that are accessible via the weapons customization menu. but honestly it needs more than that and I cant being to start on every single thing that needs to be unwraveled to bring this game up to the level of pay day 2.

I willl say the soundtrack is goated, that is a solid thing about the game, and I enjoy the personalities. The clothing selection could be a bit better.

The game itself is enjoyable, but unfortunately, too many features and items are only available through paid DLC

I really had high hopes for this one. I bought the game semi-recently as it went on sale and played through every heist in the game on overkill, but after that, there's really nothing left to do. It's sad cause the game is nearly a year old now, and there's maybe like an additional 2 free heists that've been added. The heists themselves aren't really that fun either (hate the wifi circles), feeling really uninspired and slapped together. There's not really much build variety since perk derks are gone and the skills are kinda wack, so I got bored pretty quickly. I do admit, I had fun when playing it for the first time, but there's not enough content or variety to keep that fun going.

Greatly improved since launch, albeit some tweaks are still needed, but then again, which game doesn't? It feels great, gun play is good, the heists are pretty fun too and stealth is amazing, if the rest of you lot can give this game a second chance, please do, you'd be supporting this game by either playing, buying and even providing feedback.

It's had a rocky start, that much is understandable and even moreso that the rest of you are skeptical, but as I've said earlier, please give it another chance, it's earned that much at the very least after the team's dedication to try and salvage this.
