Wukong — крейсер, названный в честь царя обезьян и одного из главных мифологических персонажей в китайской культуре. Сунь Укун — бессмертный демон, получивший необычайную силу после долгих лет странствий и духовного совершенствования. Его приключения описаны в классическом китайском романе «Путешествие на Запад».
В World of Warships крейсер Wukong представляет на VIII уровне Пан-Азию. В игре отличается сочетанием эффективной французской артиллерии и паназиатских глубоководных торпед с большой дальностью хода.

SO GLAD that Wargaming did this account merger thing with Steam,
every year these Journey to the West ships went on special,
I didn't have the opportunity (or the gambling luck with containers)
to get the Wukong.
Now us "old school" Wargaming WG Launcher players are merged with Steam,
and I can currently buy tier 8 Wukong at 50% discount, tier 6 price (US $ 23.00),
No gambling needed.
It's a premium french Charles Martel cruiser with Pan Asian "cool factor" added,
Monkey King style, with deep water torpedoes.
New DLC, 21 August 2024,
and on sale at 40% discount.
And no gambling on Lunar New Year containers to try to get it.
Always buy on sale, never full price.

I eventually did receive the ship I bought almost one week later by which time the special event with specific challenges for said ship was ending.

Update:
I think the ship not showing up may be connected to the fact that the latest update set my store page for the wrong country... something which the game says Player Support will fix but which they flatly refuse to fix when asked to do so.

Update 2:
I bought a different DLC and that showed up immediately... yet this one still hasn't. Do NOT buy this ship. It may not even exist.

I finally received it after a major update and more importantly, after the time had run out for the missions that were specifically for this ship. Classy!
