A.R.M.: Absolutely Reliable Machine

Yet another I had my brother help with, from what I saw and heard from him, it's an interesting Punch Out like game that overstays its welcome a bit and most of the characters are either janky or just not that fun to play with. That said, the game is cheap and seems to be of mostly decent quality despite that. It's hard to really score it since I myself didn't really play it, so all I can say is, if it seems fun or interesting, check it out, you shouldn't find it too bad even at worst.

An incredibly obscure and small game about testing your reaction skills.

The story the game has is very basic: monsters from another dimension invaded so you have to fight them off with crazy arm weapons. The way the game tells its lore and backstories is at least pretty cool, small as they may be.

It's a little like Punch-Out in the sense that it's a 1V1 fighting game where no one moves from their spot except to dodge. You block what you can, dodge the unblockables, react with jabs or slow smash attacks, take advantage of when an enemy gets tired, etc. Pattern recognition and a very speedy reaction time is absolutely required in the harder difficulty settings.

After you beat the game with one character you unlock the next one with a completely different style of fighting with different controls. After you beat the game with this one, you unlock the final character with another completely different style of fighting and also different controls.
The controls for everyone take some getting used to, but the they're all well made.

There are only a few actual problems with the game.
Its UI is terribly unintuitive, like, you can only use the keyboard to open this screen, you can only use the mouse to open this other screen, and this is all just from the game's main menu.
The Korean-to-English translation is pretty terrible, too, but you at least get the gist of what they're trying to say.
Some upgrades have tutorials in how you're supposed to use them, but there's no place in the game you can go back to read them in case you forget how to use them.

There's not much to the actual game, and you can finish both the false and true ending stuff in probably less than an hour or two.
Issues aside, the game itself is very solid for what it is.

You can feel the joy of analyzing the enemy's patterns.
