Pixel Puzzles Illustrations & Anime Jigsaw Puzzles

Main menu music sounds like I am going to fight final boss lol.

It is basically Pixel Puzzles Traditional Jigsaws just with seemingly less effort and attention put into it, less puzzles (currently just under 400) and differently (in my subjective option worse) themed images. Unless you are into anime I would stick with the Traditional Jigsaws game (or even with Pixel Puzzles Ultimate) instead.

What is kinda annoying as well is that this game went from just having an achievement to finish 250 puzzles which meant you could pick and chose which one you liked and still be able to get the 100% to having achievements for every puzzle 2 and half years after game release which sucks if you care about completing your games.

Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (tested form 8.0-2 on).

some of the puzzles are complicated by how they match up, but they give you a chance to test out your mettle.

People mad because developer added additional 400 achievements to the game which means you have to buy dlc packs to unlock them. IF you play games just for achievements then you need reality check and some prescription medicine.

Game is alright! Relaxing, play at your own pace what more you would want? Oh and there is amazing artwork.

Just a great puzzling game. And you get an achievement with every puzzle you complete now so that is nice. 100% will then be far far away and never achievable unless you buy everything but hey! you can't have everything ;)

I have a lot of play hours, but now I would like a refund not only on the game but also for a time I spent to get "normal" achievements, as now you need to spend about 200 Euro to be able to get 100% of them.
No, thank you! IMO It is a dirty trick to add achievement for all DLC like this, just to make you spend money on the packs you may even not like.

This Game just added Puzzle and Pack Achievements, which like the other games in this series, is a big turn off for me since the ones before were just static ones like "Complete 250 Puzzles" and "Do 5 Flash Puzzles" Now is it impossible to 100% this unless you want to Spend $200+ so no i do not recommend this game or any of the others in this series

if you do care about achis and 100% completion stay away from this game as you will be forced to purchase every single dlc that will be released and this be endless run exactly as for first installment from this developer - Pixel Puzzle Ultimate (PPU). For Pixel Puzzles Illustrations & Anime rules were changed after acceptable player base was grabbed with no turning point - as this game had fixed amount of achivements and tehy were obtainable at first. Right now it will be rat and money race as for PPU.
Ah, and dev planned this very carefully to pop first achievement without your contribution in first 2 sec after starting game, so dont event try to "test it" cashgrab at its finest.

Among the three major Pixel Puzzle games, this one stands out as my personal favorite, primarily because of my love for anime and beautiful illustrations. It retains the familiar and user-friendly interface from Pixel Puzzle Ultimate, avoiding the beta version's drawbacks. Also to this day, it differs from the other two games in the fact that it does not have achievements for completing every single puzzle. The achievement that will cost the most is completing 250 total puzzles. Scratch that, they have added a bunch of achievements. One for every puzzle you complete and one for every pack you finish. Now you need to buy all packs if you want all the achievements. [Edited on 02-11-2023]

Navigating through your puzzle packs and selecting challenges is a breeze, there's also the possibility to choose from various board themes to suit your preference. In-game you can also check out the puzzle packs you do not own yet. Seeing which puzzles it contains and how big the pieces are. I know some people do not like puzzles that do not have traditional puzzle shapes. Most of the puzzles of this game do have traditional pieces, but since it is not PPT there can be some abnormal puzzle pieces too. Which I personally do like.

It's worth noting that the game assumes players will purchase the DLCs, as there's limited free content available. Around 19 standard puzzles. However, there's a small silver lining: every month, a temporary free puzzle is offered. Additionally, the developers continue to release new DLC puzzle packs, ensuring a steady stream of fresh content. While the cumulative price of the DLCs can appear steep, the developer frequently offers discounts and sales, making it more accessible to expand your puzzle library without breaking the bank. Currently the devs are also hosting DLC giveaways for the three games on their socials. If luck is on your side, you may just get a few of them for free.

In summary, Pixel Puzzles Illustrations & Anime is a delightful experience for anime and illustration enthusiasts. With its familiar interface, regular updates, and the potential to find discounted DLCs, it's a worthy choice for those who appreciate the artistry of digital jigsaw puzzles.

Big Scam, You had to buy so many In-game puzzle that's lock behind the paywall,

You don't really need this game, they want all your money

I will stay away from this game, just get any other game with a discount instead of a Freemium Game

Another very expensive DLC cash grab game from Pixel Puzzles, who really ought to sort out the bugs, that they have introduced with a v.2 update for the older PP Ultimate, before releasing another very similar game.

The greed is palpable with this company.

In addition to my previous comments, the achievements are broken and the dev doesn't respond.

No Flash puzzles updated since July'22. Lot of DLC packs added meanwhile. Intentions from dev are clear...Broken achievements, Now you can refund game and DLCs and steam disable the achievements for your achievement showcases. GLUPDATE: new flash puzzle added. 9 months since the devs should update it... it says, this flash puzzle ends 20th april, if they change the flash puzzle in time, i will change to positive review

The game still has bugs, some are making puzzles unplayable. And on top of that THEY ARE RELEASING CONTENT TO GET MORE MONEY BUT THEY ARE NOT ADDING FLASH PUZZLES AS PROMISED IN THREAD DISCUSSIONS. WE ARE WAITING FOR FLASH PUZZLES TO COMPLETE THE ACHIEVEMENTS. FIGURE OUT A WAY TO ROTATE THEM IN ORDER FOR PEOPLE THAT CARE FOR ACHIEVEMENTS TO ACTUALLY COMPLETE 10 FLASH PUZZLES. COMMON!

If you like puzzles with fantasy themed artwork. Get this one. This will provide hours of entertainment.

This game is similar to Pixel Puzzles Ultimate except there's no Kiosk and no gold pieces but only the blue pieces used to purchase hints. Also like PPU this game is free and has some free puzzles but there are also packs of puzzles that can be purchased as DLC.

The focus of this game is on Illustrations and Anime pictures. There are the typical pretty girl images (no racy pics) and there are also various illustrations. The Dinosaurs pack is especially good.

In addition to the free starter puzzles there are the occasional free Flash Puzzles which are only available to play for a certain amount of time.

The cut-outs vary from traditional ones to weird ones to ones that look like they are all squares. You have no control over that, it is set for each image to have a different cut-out. Personally I prefer traditional cut-out and do not care for the wild and crazy cut-outs because the wild ones make it more difficult for me to finish the puzzle. It's not bad if the puzzle has 200 pieces but if it has 500 pieces and weird shapes then it is more torture than fun. But to each his own.

Music: I turned it off and listen to podcasts while I puzzle so I can't comment on the quality of the music.

There are different backgrounds you can choose from that surround the puzzle area. Personally I find many of them distracting and just go with a simple plain colored background.

There are settings where you can choose if the pieces spin in the "river", how fast they spin and move, etc. So you can tailor the game to your liking.

I think this is a great addition to the Pixel Puzzle games.

If you like puzzles, this is the second best game after Pixel Puzzles Traditional. I prefer the traditional piece shapes.

All right. So this is like Pixel Puzzles Ultimate, in that it is free (at least to start). It differs mainly in lower amount of purchasable puzzle packs and that all puzzles have an anime or illustrated theme.

Based on the achievements, I expect there will be quite a few additions in the months and years to come... and those will likely get a bit pricey...

Still a decent time-waster.
